Just when I was telling Karmyn (in comments, waaaaay towards the end of the thread) "this" would never happen…I proved myself wrong.
Perhaps the happiest, most satisfying, best wrong I’ve ever been.
Pictures were absolutely necessary…they will 1) prove that at least one day in my life with children, completed laundry was a possiblity, and 2) they’ll last much longer than the empty baskets themselves.
This feels almost as good as our new pantry. I dunno…maybe better ;).
I don’t even have kids and that is a huge fantasy of mine. wow… I bow in your presence. Seriously
You also have something to show your husband when he asks what you have been doing all day. Very impressive.
Yeah, but did you check closet floors and under the beds? 😉
Um, WOW! We’ve split up laundry in our house with the oldest three doing their own. No one ever does laundry. Mine will never look like that, and that’s the truth!
Congrats! Now, if you had a maid, you could live that all the time.
I hate you! (Okay, hate is not the right word).
I intensely dislike you.
Very proud of you girl!
I can only imagine what empty baskets would look like……….
That was definately worth taking a picture of, especially since it was certain to be short-lived!
WOW!!!! This is a moment to celebrate and cheer. I don’t believe it could ever truly happen. You have given me something to aspire to…..I think.
Of course – Kila is right – this will be very short-lived.
Holy Crap. Did you throw everything away? You rock.
Now, you need to tell your entire family to strip naked so that all those clothes will REMAIN clean!
Ah, my trashy friend, you are now the Laundry Queen.
I dare you to post pics of those baskets again tomorrow.
The pantry looks great. Was your laundry hiding behind those doors?
1) May I have you washer and dryer please. 2) Don’t give me that look! I said please!
3) Is it possible to train a 3 year old to do laundry, even if he can’t reach the top to put the laundry in?
now THAT is astonishing. In my house I’d call it a miracle – and I don’t even have kids.
I’m not supposed to covet my neighbors wash machine & dryer
Wow…amazing! Are you sure you didn’t just transfer laundry from one basket to the other, and snap photos in between?
Or hide the laundry in your new kitchen cabinets?
now that’s a serious accomplishment!!!
Margaret, yeah, I was doing a little RobinHappyDance (think Snoopy with his nose in the air) :).
Motomom, good idea!
Jeanne, after I posted it……I walked into our guest bedroom…and found (I think) a pair of jeans. I left them there. I needed to enjoy the moment just a bit longer :/.
Jenn, if it does, you WILL feel like you’ve accomplished something fantabulous :).
MikeY, which is the reason I posted this…it’s doubtful I’ll do it again for at least the next seven years!
Min, do you think you’ll feel a dent with Violet leaving?
Kristy, it’s a “happy place”, yes?
Kila, AMEN!!!
Karmyn, see? 1) it CAN be done, and 2) yeah, what Kila said :/.
Tracey, now THAT’S an idea worth trying!
Shoot, Erin, I shoulda added you to Tracey’s response (see above) ;).
Nope, Swampy, it really was put away. Nothing hiding (except the stupid jeans I mentioned in Jeanne’s comment).
Nikki, 1) sure, I’m easy! 2) sure, if HE’S easy. Don’t three-year-olds like to act like grown-ups? It’s when they’re tweens and teens that changes meaning….;)
Hayden, it’s close to one in my house…
Pamela, I loled at your comment; I’ve always coveted my friends nice appliances. Forget houses or cars, even clothes…for me? It’s all in the kitchen or nearby ;).
Tiggerlane, you’re thinkin’ like Swampy!
Sabrina, I bet you can relate bettah than evah!
Well aren’t YOU just twelve shades of efficient these days!!
I’m trying not to think about laundry.
Or pantries.
Darn! It really can be done.
I love your washer & dryer. That’s what I want when mine bite the dust. 🙂
I’m confused… you collect empty laundry baskets? Congratulations
Martha Stewart Two? I can’t believe this is for real. Staring into all your empty laundry baskets is a bit like walking through Linens ‘N Things… overwhelming. Way to go Robin!!!
Hey! I’ve done that once! (once.)
As of right now I have a full washer and dryer and that many FULL to overflowing baskets of clean laundry waiting to be folded. I haven’t touched it in three days. Isn’t that awful?!
Hey Mark! Sounds worthy enough to me ;).
E-mom, so I gather you totally understand why I HAD to blog it, right? 🙂
Nan, I read then re-read your comment…what’s awful?? (she says wide-eyed and perplexed). It IS something to celebrate (and you’ve even got one more than me!).
oooh, NICE!!! 🙂
