Guys…please accept my most sincerest of apologies in advance. Once I get started, it’s difficult for me to stop. Sickness or inspired genius? You decide.
On second thought, maybe it’s best for me a fragile, word-of-encouragements girl NOT to know what you think ;).
Poetic License, its inaugural post
Should be brilliant because I am host
Though try as I might
I’ve developed stage fright!
And now I’ve got nothin’ to boast.
Your poems have blessed me all week
Writing poetry’s not for the meek!
No rules, y’all, just write,
Please don’t stay up all night
Cause then I’d be way up the creek!
A poet princess I fancy to be
Rhyme and verse seem to make me happy.
I’m thankful for you
For writing some, too
Wanna toast with a glass of Chablis?
Poetic License has made its debut
I’m ever so thankful to you!
Quickly joining right in—
You’re my new blog best friend!
Grazie! Danke! and Merci
Beaucoup!
Thanksgiving, a time to give praise
God has blessed me in so many ways!
My fam’ly, each friend,
And His love without end.
And the beauty of Fall, now ablaze.
(For the record, I speed-write limericks…it took me less than half an hour to come up with these–maybe that’s obvious?–so, for me, this really is FUN!)
It’s still not too late to add yours to our growing list…and again, THANK YOU for getting Pensieve’s Poetic License off to a better-than-expected start!!!
Very nice, Robin. You are a fine hostess and an inspiration for your PPL.
I think this calls for a limerick…
After Robin does all her inviting
She pens her own poems faster than lightning
Is she on the level?
(Was it a deal with the devil?)
How’d you do it (I’m stuck here re-writing…)
Those were all great, but I think the Thanksgiving one was my favourite.
Thanks for the fun!
The PPL’s host is a stitch
Her limericks cause me to itch
to reply in like kind
(if you don’t mind)
for her limericks really are rich.
What a terrific post! Thanks again.
you’re good at this! 🙂
i love the thanksgiving one. very nice!
thanks for the fun!
Thanks, Robin for starting this group
It’s fun to be one in the loop
I love what you’ve done
You are number one
and you’re cuter than Bettie Boop!
You smokin’ limerick artist you! Well done, Robin, and your project here’s a hit. Way to go!!
I love that you started this carnival. Maybe someday I’ll participate. Right now, too much on my plate.
Stephen, did you mean I’m an inspiration for my PEOPLE? or Pensieve’s Poetic License?
Thank YOU, Emma & Sandy & Alison!
Kim, me LIKEY when my PPL reply w/limericks (ok, you, too, Steve).
Kelly, thanks for being part of the first.one.EVAH.!
Heather, I’d love for you to be able to play :).
In answer to your question…yes.
Wait, what do you mean “okay, you, too, Steve”? Am I not a PPL too?
Good job, you over-achiever, you! Mine is finally up. We’ve been a little busy what with driving to Florida and all…
Stephen, oh, you’re a PPL alright!
(I have no idea what that means, but it sounded like what I was supposed to say there…ha!)
Wahoooo, Jana!! Color me impressed if you were able to write something as creative as you did in between all you’re coming and going! Great job!
