Hi Robin. Just wanted to drop you a quick line to thank you for your incredibly kind comment on my blog just now. You’ve absolutely made my day and, quite likely my week.
Likewise, I’ll be back here often: you write with a vibe that I very much relate to.
(And happy anniversary, BTW….20 years is an amazing achievement. We just celebrated 15, and I wish I had the ability to slow time down so I could savor it a little more.)
Dahlink, you rrooook mahvelous!! to think you still fit into that dress after 20 years!! I can’t even fit into clothes I had from 5 years ago!!! Way to go and congratulations!!
If I didn’t think you looked so beautiful and if I didn’t like you so much, I might just tell you how much I don’t like you. 🙂
Congrats and Happy Anniversary!!
Michelle, well…”fit” is a relative term…
Misty, there IS a follow-up to this story…it’s not quite as “pretty” as the dress, lol.
Carmi, WW DOES bring some newbies into our bloglives, huh? 15 is almost as “good” as 20 :). Congrats to you1
Willowtree, well it WAS a rental…;)
Claudia, we got it zipped and button…but it took three of us :/…story to follow.
TLG, see Claudia’s and Michelle’s replies…
Thanks AM2G and HG@H :).
Awww, Kelly and Michelle P…y’all are the sweetest :). Yep, SWEET!
robin, you look absolutely beeeyooteeeful! totally!
and even if it DID take extra help to get into the dress … omigod girl! you fit in your wedding dress after 20 years! wow! (more exclamation marks!! now!! yay!!!!!!!)
wow…i knew it would fit the minute i saw it lol that’s great that you kept in shape all those years. me, well, life and thyroid disease, but that’s ok lol even though i was big when i married my current husband, i’m definitely sure i can’t fit into the dress now and definitely not into the one that i had from my 1st wedding (if i still had it) because it was like a size 3 or 5 lol anyways, happy anniversary and here’s to another 20!
Okay guys…I’m checking in very quickly ’cause I wanted to read your comments…AND Y’ALL HAVE TO BE THE SWEETEST PEEPS IN THE ENTIRE UNIVERSE! THANK YOU! MERCI BEAUCOUP! GRACIOUS!!
Let’s just say, so far at 5:09 E.S.T. this has been a MARVELOUS day…and right now I’m glowing (that would be from the facial my hubby scheduled for me :), not for any “other” reason 😉 ). The night’s not quite over and I think there might be a few more surprises for one or both of us :).
Of course, like any “good” blogger, I’ll kiss and tell :).
you are lovely! and that’s a great dress.
(my wedding dress still fits, too, but that’s because i was fat then. i weighed 25 pounds more than i do now. i tell doug that one reason i know he loves me is he married me when i was at my fattest.)
DO you have ANY idea how tempted I am to put my nearly 15 year old wedding dress on again just to post pics? I think I will. I’m pretty sure that it might, possibly, fit over my leg. That will definitely help improve my horrible mood. Or will it? Someone should get a laugh anyway.
Janet, I ** heart ** a gal who knows how to use an exclamation mark…or 20 ;).
Diana, I don’t know you, but with comments like that, I need to GET TO know you! 🙂
Junebug, after 32 years, you deserve A NEW DRESS! 🙂
Karmyn, I’m “not allowed” to blog what he said :/ (lol).
Debs, I’m tellin’ ya, “fit” is a relative term….
E-mom, that makes TWO of us :).
Sandy, awwww…so, so sweet, as always :).
Robinella, it’s all good (I’ll take THAT whenever I can!!).
Blue Momma, are you hitting on me? Cause it sounds like you’re hitting on me (thanks @ the bathroom…it was a work in progress over the past year 🙂 ).
T.O.B., let’s just say I HAD to put it on over my head :/.
Tracey, that’s why I HAD to post it! 🙂
Wow, Laurie…you go, girl!
Jenn, GO FOR IT! I couldn’t get mine on over my legs…hips, either :/.
AHHH! How did I miss this??
Way to go girl !!!!!! Woo Hoo! You look beautiful.
My dress? Stored it in our barn (yes, the barn) sealed up, but….ah well – it didn’t quite make it.
