The sliver of sun in these photos makes me want to go there, too. You’ve captured warmth here – not easy to do in a two-dimensional medium that can just as easily render the average scene as soulless as an airport lounge.
I can practically feel the sand in my toes as I watch this little fellow come out of his shell. Maybe there’s a lesson for us observers.
Yuo have such a cool sense of vision!
That brings back memories from when I was 8 yrs old and came back from Biloxi with a sack of shells. I dumped them on the porch to explore them and one began to crawl – I began to scream!
Did you encounter that in nature? That’s really cool! If that was taken in Antigua, I don’t blame you for wanting to go back for another visit! Cheers!
My WW is here.
My kids love hermit crabs. They spend their time at the beach looking for the shells with crabs then putting them in hermit crab pens they make by piling up the sand. I am sure the crab population breathes a collective sigh when we leave.
It looks very cute, have never seen such a little crab !
very cool! Hope you didn’t pick up that shell…I mean house!

My sister and I used to keep hermit crabs as pets when we were kids. Cute photo reminder!

Those guys are great in all except when you’re collecting shells and find one of them by mistake. Ouch. ;P
Happy WW!
Cool shots. I never really got into shelled animals, but I’ve dodged turtles on the road a few times.

Great photos — the depth of field is very well done in the second shot! What a leggy crab! ;-D
Thank you.
So,I love how you named her!
I remember when the kids had hermit crabs…interesting to watch!
Wow!! Thanks for sharing!
That would be such a surprise to me to see something actually alive in a shell.
Was your friend nice, or a crab?
Great photos!
Come visit us @ Gabi’s World
You actually saw one of these? AMAZING! ;~D
You managed to get a good photo. I think we all do with a bit of sun and sand at the moment!
My dughter has hermit crabs and she enjoys getting them new shells, or homes.
