My very quick offerings for this week’s "15 Words or Less" challenge at Laura’s blogging spot. You can tell when I’m in a mood, I’m in a mood. Time is the only thing keeping me from writing a thousand of these ;).

Despite circumstance
And elements beyond control
Eyes set Godward
Rising above.
Lonesome branches
bared to all
stripped to nothing
after Fall.
Phoenix risen from the ashes
Life renewed, season’s flashes.
Aww, lovely!
That is REALLY good!
The photo reflects how I feel this morning: weather-induced morose, essentially. The lovely poetry that follows forces me to focus instead on the beauty that’s apparent if only we take the time to look for it.
I did some interviews yesterday (Nortel’s continuing death spiral) and at one point I remember saying something about the need to look hard through the dark clouds because there is indeed a silver lining there. I’m glad you posted this today, as your timing is, as always, on the money.
Wow, Robin! You are REALLY good at this! I tried to come up with something for the traffic light photo last week, but…nothing. Must be writer’s block 🙁
Beautiful job!
Robin, just wanted to say thanks for turning me onto poetry again. It was through your blog that I found Laura’s 15 Word challenge and of course your PPL is great. I am sure I will struggle for awhile trying to just let go but I’m finding it fun.
I enjoy your writing and your poetry. I’ve got to give the PPL another try. I just have to work through the hesitation.
Oh you are SO good I love the last one.
It might be a quick offering but it still pretty good and the photo fits perfectly.
You are a great poet Robin!
I love this, Robin. Your tree is very inspiring and courageous. This is a very motivating poem!
