Last week, I loved the photo of icicles dangling from a roof, but I struggled to put two words together for Laura’s weekly 15-words-or-less poetic challenge; this week, the picture does nothing for me (sorry if that offends you Canada geese lovers in the crowd) and yet I like the poems it inspired.
(This is one of the instances my husband would say I’m a "complicated woman"; make note, that is NOT the same thing as high maintenance!)
Spread your wings,
Reach for stars
Seek moments, not things.
And dreams are chased,
Only then is life fully lived.
If you’d like to submit your own poems–and hey, with a 15-word limit, it’s easily doable–please visit Laura for details.
Winter’s gone
And so am I,
Great to see ya,
Gotta fly!
I have a fear of poems!!! lol
Even 15 words or less is NOT easily doable for me!!! =) But I will always show up to read yours…HE HE HE!
My “GIRLS NIGHT DINNER” went very well last night! I had 11 girls there…we were missing 3…I had a packed house! Well, should I say I had a packed kitchen/dinning area…that’s were everyone seemed to congregate! =) IT was GREAT…I can’t wait till the next one!!! I am very tired though! After everyone left…I didn’t get to bed till after midnight! I had to make sure EVERYTHING was cleaned and dishes were put away!!! UGH!!!
Love the goose inspiration – it’s a great poem. Beautiful photo, too. 😀
Oh, Robin the wise!
Thanks for all your advice! Can you tell I’m using my blog for therapy points! Just needing to spill the stuff that is ratteling around in my brain…
Thanks for being a great commenter. It means a LOT!
The geese who have been inhabiting our park have finally flown north. We had WAY more than usual this year. I’m not sure what that means but I am certain the ducks who live there year round are relieved.
ooh, I like Min’s take on it!! At my old job, we had a pond out back and it would be filled with geese. people would walk around it for exercise (it was pretty big) and it was always funny to see when a goose would get upset for whatever imagined slight and then chase this poor person in business clothes! you don’t want to mess with the geese!! 🙂
In five minutes I had ‘nothing’ on that photo so I skipped today.
I like yours, though. Makes me wish I’d tried harder!
you won’t believe it – I swear I didn’t see your goose before I posted my own geese.
And here I could have posted a poem, too!!!
Great minds.
