Hey, y’all–you-are-on-the-BALL! Thanks for giving us some more "somethings" to reduce junk mail clutter (via comments on the previous post):
Infinity Goods, January post
Alana, Gray Matters ~ 41pounds.org
Brandon, Words of Redemption ~ greendimes.com
And Inheritor had a great point–it is NOT necessary to give out your Social Security Number when registering with ANY of these services!
….
Then, again, in those SAME comments, I was reminded that my husband works in the paper industry.
Well, durn…guess I’m askin’ y’all to take money out of my pocket ;).
I know you’re probably only talking about email junkmail clutter….
but…
here is what I do when I receive junk mail in the post:
If a postage-paid envelope is included with the junk mail? I simply stuff other junk mail in the envelope and put it in the mail box.
Just be sure to remove any personal data from any junk mail (name, addy, etc) before stuffing it into a postage-paid envelope.
The cookbook came the cookbook came!!!!!! Thank you thank you THANK YOU Robin I love it! And thanks for giving me a beautiful old cookbook and thank you for writing in it and this has nothing to do with your post but you know…..thank you :o) You rock!!
And as a sidenote here, I find out the cookbook came a few days ago but the mailman put it in the wrong mailbox so a neighbour ended up getting it and decided instead of throwing it back in the mail, hung onto it but took his sweet time delivering it to me. But he did and I’m thrilled!!
You know my husband works in the paper industry too – but whenever he goes to the TISSUE plant – I never worry about it. I don’t think toilet paper will EVER go out of style!!! AND – I never feel guilty for using more than my share.
Paper is magical! My artwork and my writing are both dependent on this gift from the trees.
