Mirassou® California Pinot Noir.
I’m a fan of Rodney Strong pinots, but at close to $30/bottle, it’s a little pricey. Mirassou was recommended to me by our local wine shop, and I was pleased the recommendation proved worthy.
True, I’m only a sommelier wannabe, I know little about wines, but this vintage? If you like pinot noir? It’s a VERY good, reasonably-priced choice. Smooth with no after "bite", every bottle I’ve tried over the past year or so has been consistent; it’s my "go-to" red these days!
Oh, and if you live in the U.S. and DON’T live in Tennessee like I do (or AK, CA, HI, TN, UT, WA, or PR) looks like you’re eligible to enter a sweepstakes Mirassou is hosting for you and 30 of your closest friends and family. Enter–and if you win? Be sure to invite me, k? 🙂
Sounds yum, and of course that price makes it irresistible!
To Think, the price got me to try it; the smooth taste keeps me coming back :).
Thanks for the suggestion. Definitely entering. We like pinots–especially in summer when Shirazes begin to feel heavy in the heat.
Dear robin. Mmmm I love pinot noir, yum yum! I’ll see if it’s made it to Ukraine (suprisingly, a lot of US wines here) but it will probably be $40, not $10 (no exaggeration).
