After you cast your vote, eat, drink and be merry–on the house!–with the help of a few familiar faces:
Who knew doughnuts could be stinkin’ adorable AND patriotic? Red, white and blue, star-shaped…and FREE? Krispy Kreme turns "hot and now" into something magically delicious.
Not to be outdone, Starbucks is offering 12-ounce cups of their brewed coffee to customers.
After your morning sugar high, I’m sure you’ll need an afternoon pick up; Ben & Jerry’s will take care of that with a free scoop of ice cream. I agree with their tagline, "Democracy never tasted so sweet!". My favorite is Chocolate Fudge Brownie, though "Chunky Monkey" and "Cherry Garcia" make me smile. I think after my stint as an OPI Color Namer, I’ll be qualified to be a Ben & Jerry’s ice cream namer (hope "tasting" is a requirement of that job). What’s you’re favorite flavor?
McAlister’s Deli is offering a free cookie with your "I voted" sticker. Have you seen their cookies? They’re gargantuan! They’re almost the size of my head!
Chick-Fil-A is offering free sandwiches to voters. Maybe you should stop there before Ben & Jerry’s. Nah, go crazy, it IS election day, after all–life is short! Eat dessert first, right?
Disclaimer: In compliance with election law, all customers may request these freebies (where offered), regardless of whether or note they voted. Some of these offerings may be franchise-specific, check your area to be sure. Also, if you know of any other national chains with similar offerings, please let me know and I’ll add it as I’m able.
God bless America :)!
Wait! Just this in (HT from T with Honey): Party poopers!! >:(
This is stinkin’ awesome! Thanks for sharing…I hadn’t heard about McAllister’s or Chick-fil-A!
Favorite Ben & Jerry’s? “Everything But The.” Yum!
I just heard on the radio that Starbucks is offering coffee to everyone–whether you vote or not–because it was illegal to tie it to voting in some states. I guess I’ll find out later when I give it a try!
It could be a felony to tie rewards or payment to a vote. But I can pretend to be bought for a Krispy Kreme and some java. I hope the lines aren’t too long…
It looks like the Starbucks promotion is still on. Instead of making you show a sticker that you voted they are just giving out the free coffee to anyone who asks. Yeah for them!!
I’m so sad – we don’t have any of these franchises in our little town. We’d have to drive half an hour or so, which kinda negates the free donut. 🙁 Hope everyone else enjoys it!!
Bummer–I don’t have a single one of those businesses in my town!
Awesome! This is the best list I’ve seen yet! Thanks for the heads-up! I’m linking to this post on my blog today :o)
Thanks for this great list! I’ll be taking my kids to Chick Fil A, then Ben & Jerry’s, then Starbucks (for me!). I’m proud to take part in this election today!
I took the kids to Chick-Fil-A today because I too had heard they were giving away free sandwiches. They are not. Just a heads up so you can save the time and effort of dragging everyone there.
Oh, look, there’s my supper!
Three down one to go! I have already been to Starbucks, Krispy Kreme and Chick-fil-a. We’ll be heading off to Ben and Jerry’s right after my DH gets home. No McAllister’s in my area.
seriously i wish i was close to any of these places!
Well, I got my free cup of coffee and my free Chick-fil-A, but if I had known about the B&J before putting my jammies on and going to bed, I’d have been all over it!
Got the Starbucks coffee this morning. Chick-fil-A gave the free sandwich IF you bought a side. And McAlister’s Deli just about laughed in my face. I was the only customer all day who asked tonight if they participated in the voter promotion.
