Ten 6th grade boys are kings of their worlds tonight…and for this moment in time, they revel in the glory of an underdog's victory. Its taste is more sweet than the celebratory "banquet" that followed, a spontaneous party fit for a queen, in a land of Oreo blizzards and chocolate-flowing rivers.
Sleep is not on the menu :).
Thud! I landed at your blog via – oh well, does it really matter? You’re an awesome writer. I try to be one and succeed only occasionally. But you hit it out of the park with every post!

Hey Kim! So it’s Saturday morning, I just pulled up email to reply to
comments…and I get YOURS to begin the day. THANK YOU! I was so excited
when I wrote that post last night–that game was as exciting as any college
or professional game I’ve ever seen. I wrote briefly ’cause I was
tired…but as a happy, proud mama? I could’ve written for days :). Thank
you for your more than generous words–they’re paycheck to me :).
Your description makes that whole scene’s emotions palatable for me. Congrats to your winner!

Watching your child’s team win IS better than any pro game, especially when they’re the underdog. Give them my congratulations! Way to go!! WHOOT! (doing a cheer for them)

Congrats to the boys! 6th grade is a very exciting and passionate age. I can’t imagine pro athletes being any more excited about a win than a 6th grader, girl or boy.
I’m hooked on your blog! It is so uplifting and I enjoy your writing style. I just gave you the Kreativ bloggers award. You can go to my blog to pick it up. 🙂
I bet they were on top of the world. Who was the not-so-fortunate opponent? Don’t tell me it was SBA? Grace whips up on them too much already. Great to see you this morning and BTW, GREAT pic on FB. whoo whoo
Awww, thank you! He’s still walkin’ on cloud 9! 🙂
Nice to see ya “here” Rachel! So glad you understood exactly what I meant.
And he loves the extra cyber cheerleaders! 🙂
I think you’re exactly right, Daisy. They were ELATED! 🙂 So were the
parents, lol.
Thanks, Heather! Your comment is so sweet…and I’ve gotta figure out how
to follow your comment back (answering comments from email, guess I need to
click the link from my blog!).
Hey Chas ;), It was Lookout Valley and they had won the first time they
played (during regular season, ALSO at the buzzer). You would’ve LOVED the
game! 🙂
