On the inside, I was a little girl in pigtails, clapping my hands and squealing with delight, jaw dropped in rapt fascination.
In reality, I'm quite certain I released an audible gasp, flew down the stairs, and as I grabbed my camera and flung open our front door, directed my children to LOOK OUT THE FRONT WINDOW!
The sky was on fire with unextinguishable flame.
In a blaze of glory, God spoke ~
His handiwork, incomparable.
His voice, inspiring.
His beauty, stunning.
His reach, soul-touching.
His gift, spirit-lifting.
My heart, captivated by a breath-taking sunrise, responds in worship; it's involuntary and spontaneous and it gives me insight to the Psalmist's declaration ~
Sing about the glory of his name!
Tell the world how glorious he is.
Say to God, “How awesome are your deeds!
Your enemies cringe before your mighty power.
Everything on earth will worship you;
they will sing your praises,
shouting your name in glorious songs.”
Psalm 66:1-4, NLT
Let it be.
YES!
LOVE…in so many ways.
I wish I could share the delight I took in my (almost 40) husband this weekend as he caught snowflakes (HUGE BEAUTIFUL snowflakes IN ATHENS, GA!) on his tongue. Oh, the magnificence of God found in the wonder and beauty of a rare snow in the South!
Beautiful, Robin!! I wish we could see the sunrise – or the sunset – from our house, but there are trees/hills/houses in the way!
Yes. This is good. It is all good when eyes are glued to the right places.
That is breathtaking!
God reveals his greatness in so many ways, and nature is one of the truest I see. Thank you for sharing this with us!
amen.
Oh..Suz…I’m imagining this and I don’t even know what your husband looks
like! So precious…I’m so glad YOU had the eyes to “see” the beauty in
this :).
Maybe stand on the roof?? 😉
🙂 Sometimes mine are…sometimes mine aren’t :/ (feelin’ bettah?)
You’re so right…nature speaks volumes about its Creator :).
Amber & Pamela, in a word, I know your hearts. Just ONE of the reasons I love y’all :).
Gorgeous reflections and stunning shot. Squealing in the presence of His gorgeous creation – I can so relate.
Awww, Megan, it’s nice to know there are people who understand the need to
squeal! Love how you phrased your comment :).
Oh it’s stunning!
Amber, I’ll say this–Tennessee sunrises can be SPECTACULAR!
