June, 2009, my back patio. Fresh fruit, the perfect taste of summer.
It was almost too pretty to eat…a l m o s t ;).
Oh, and why the heck would I add the word "skulduggery" to this post title? Because my friend who brought us the fruit used it correctly in a sentence, as in, "Dawn was the Queen of Skulduggery when she brought fruit to accompany dinner; she knew Robin's sad, tired, pitiful little pie was destined for disaster, and this was her subtle way of coercing Robin into eating healthier, because everyone knows fruit makes a delicious dessert since it is nature's candy after all."
Except I think Dawn's sentence was shorter, not a run-on, and actually made sense.
(Almost) Wordless Wednesday
The sad thing about this post is that I like the run on sentence…never was at grammar..smile!
Yum!! I love that you said it, “is nature’s candy.” So true. That looks so good and healthy indeed.
Happy WW from Sara @ the Mostly Wordless Wednesday H.Q.!
Sometimes, language needs to be stretched. I’ve never been a rule-follower when it comes to the whole word thing. I’m still debating whether or not that’s a good thing considering what I do for a living 🙂
Thanks for the healthy snack inspiration. I think we’ve got some in the fridge. Yum!
LOL!! Thank you for the explanation. I was looking all over that pic for the skulduggery. Heh heh!! Looks yummy! Nice photo.
Yum! I have to take something to a get together tomorrow evening. I think it is going to be watermelon, strawberries and cherries. Really – I never think to put berries/cherries with watermelon.
Yum! Yum! Healthy snacks 😉
Happy WW!
That just made my mouth water! Yummy!

Happy WW to you! I hope that you will come and see my entry, too.
Yum! That fruit display just made me hungry.
The skulduggery happened when I didn’t get a fully cooked piece of buttermilk pie!
Yum, fresh red fruits and the sweetness of summer!!

The cherries are my favorite part! Great shot!
Oh – summer fruit happiness abounds!
This will be great for the weather here in Singapore! 🙂
Mmmmmm!!
Love your photo of strawberries and watermelon. I am in Denmark, where the first strawberries are being sold these days – wonderful!
That looks awesome. I can smell it from here.

I’m trying to decide if this “skulduggery” sentence is better suited to Bulwer-Lytton or the national spelling bee. 🙂
yummy! love all of them
I totally stole this idea for a get together I had today. It was a big hit (and delicious, too)!
yes indeed … I’m sitting here chowing down on fresh bluberries as I try to catch up on all the blogging I missed while on grandma duty.
