Yes, German can be very tricky. 🙂
I won’t give away what it means but let me just say it’s not a common every day word. I don’t think I have ever used it (I’m a native speaker).
Those things are so cool!
The German language was great at teaching me patience. Having to wait until the end of the sentence to find out what was going to happen to all those nouns! 🙂

Ha! Esther :). The friend who gave it to me, did so in part BECAUSE of the name; but also because it is very German. I love it for both reasons :).
LOL, Tom…ummm, teacher of patience, Hmmm. I never looked at it that way but maybe I should have. Then I could speak more than numbers ;).
I know, but I won’t give it away either, because I am in the middle of German speaking Switzerland at the moment!
I thought maybe the little pictures on the box would help me figure it out but, no. Going off to cheat now…
Huh, I’ve never seen anything like that before!
The little pictures on the box make me think it’s a meat thermometer.
I think it’s a tool for cracking boiled eggs 🙂 they’ve got gadgets to match their boundless verbage!
I couldn’t even figure it out by cheating. All I could find was that it has something to do with eggs. What’s the answer??
