Green Giant Multigrain Sweet Potato Chips
Before I even gave birth, I knew I wanted to be That Mom.

Well, not so much That Mom as to have That Home.

The home were friends of my own children felt more than just welcome, but wanted…loved.

I imagine it’s some Divine Mathmatical Computation of Grace + Intention, but our home, all these years later, is that home.

To me, that is a golden affirmation, precious return on investment, something for which I neither take for granted nor fail to utter thanks.

My daughter is in college now but my two boys, still in high school, picked up right where she and her friends left off–turning my back door into a revolving door.

It’s a glorious thing…

…despite occasional inconvenience.

I’ve watched my own boys and their friends grow bean sprout tall.  I’ve seen them make mostly good choices and not be scared of me when they went the other way.  I talk to them, I delight in their company, but mostly maybe I listen and ask questions and genuinely want to know what’s in their head…which usually tells me what’s in their heart.

I try never to be shocked by what they share; at least not to show it.

One of the best ways to keep ’em coming back is more practical:  feed them.

I don’t mean in the way Jesus said “Feed my sheep” though that’s the way that’ll last forever.  I mean quite literally FEED THEM.

Coupons are my friend.  Big box stores are my friend.  B1G1 is my BEST friend.   Salty or sweet, bagged or homemade, teenagers are happy when the pantry has options.

::::::::::::::::::::::

I’ve recently joined Clever Girls Collective to partner with brands that make sense for me to write about.  If there are opportunities that lend themselves to our family or what I’d typically write about anyway, I could use the extra income to offset the cost of redesign, blog hosting, etc.

And voila!  Green Giant comes along with a Giant Surprise that I get to share with you:  Veggie Chips!

Green Giant sent me each of their new snackers, Roasted Veggie Tortilla Chips and Multigrain Sweet Potato Chips.  I always get a little nervous if I agree to sample food, but I figured I was safe coming from a brand I already buy AND knowing IT WAS SNACK FOOD for goodness sakes!

To show what I really think – and my penchant and hidden talent for writing poetry – I decided to offer not one, but TWO Haiku Reviews:

So maybe I’m not the most talented person (or poet) but my sense of fun was in it :). Green Giant has discovered a few more talents that will make you smile even more…(and more on Green Giant’s YouTube channel).  Hmmm, maybe I should’ve videoed my youngest juggling while riding his RipStik…people are outRAGeous, aren’t they?

I gave ’em to my son and asked him and a few friends to be a focus group for me; the girls were smart–they stayed behind the camera.  The guys, ever the hams, shared what they really thought–
