The first poet I remember liking more than nursery rhymes was e.e. cummings, and I don’t think I knew his name was Edward Estlin til now. I was in high school and his words looked like art, and like many of my contemporaries, I believed I could emulate his unconventional poetic form. It was easy, right?
Bless my heart.
Just because it looks like a duck, doesn’t mean you nail the quack.
I captured the image above when I was in Florida last week, and when I stumbled across this prayer-verse from cummings, I knew the two should marry…
My “yes” for today.
What is your “yes” for day? Do share in comments!
My “yes” for today is to work diligently, with an absolute “yes it’s all right” attitude to push back worrying what people think of my accomplishments right now. My “yes” is to believe that “yes, you do not have to impress.” My “yes” today is “yes, you are loved by God and you don’t have to try so hard.” “Yes, I am enough.”
Robin,
My “Yes” for today is God will see me through all my trials and bless my endeavors. Yes I am enough and I will work as though to glorify God!
I can do ALL things through Christ who strengthens me!
God Bless :’)
My yes for today is….Yes I will stay in my PJs and enjoy the blessing of a day home from work because snow hit the south…Yes I will praise the God of the storehouses of snow…the God who has cleansed me whiter than snow…the God who willingly emptied an entire storehouse to cleanse me.
