my sound is out, so i couldn’t hear what you want to shout. i assume you’d shout the same thing i would. I just watched a 2 hr. doc on the SCLC, King, Abernathy & the Freedom Riders. I can’t get over how the police (many of whom were KKK) were praised for “not allowing violence” by arresting & beating innocent people. Regardless of anyone’s thoughts on non-violence, religion or any other matter, one cannot dismiss the facts — innocent people disappeared from southern jails, never to be seen, again; innocent people were beaten unconscious & to death for asking for freedom (one white man was beathen into coma for helping a Freedom Rider into his own car). Homes were fire-bombed in the middle of the night, people lost their lives or escaped with only their lives. What would I be willing to do for my freedom? for your freedom?
I read the first “this.” didn’t get to the 2nd “this.” I have to go to bed. I was very young when this all began, and didn’t understand it, because I had never been exposed to any of it where I lived.
I need to study more about him.
