Tad and I have opportunity for a quick romantic get-away this weekend–no sports for the kids to tie us here! Wahoooo!! I pricelined a hotel in HOTlanta, and we got one heckuva suuuuwweeet deal–we’ll be staying here for two nights for considerably less than one night at their lowest stated rate (I ** heart ** Priceline!). Good food, good coffee, good shoppin’ and a few other "good" things are in my immediate future. Why, it makes cleaning to get outta here a pleasure (r i g h t).
Look at the cutie patootie I created after visiting Life is not a Cereal:
See all those hearts dancing around her head? Well, that’s how I feel when my husband wants to whisk me away…and wine and dine and …. me ;)…AFTER I have had strange men in my home for nine days, haven’t been able "to go" (see #4b), and am slightly discombobulated as a result. I think I shall keep him for a bit longer.
Did you notice her cute purse? I gave her one because MY cute purse is no longer in my possession; today I care not because I will have a new one before the weekend is over. IF I can make a decision :/.
If you wanna create a cute chick of your own, click here.
Because I want this to be a substantive post (ahem, cough cough), I offer you my first evah Friday Feast–I have always LOVED this photo and want to visit the exact spot sometime before I die (if I can figure out how to arrange everything exactly as it is here).

Where on your body do you have a scar, and what caused it?
On the inside of my forearm, about four inches long, from a CHEAP metal picture frame, the night I pledged my college sorority. I needed stitches…I didn’t know that ’til the scar lingered…:/.
Soup
What is something that has happened to you that you would consider a miracle?
No question, the time in my life I could begin feeling my babies move inside of me (I could sit and watch my stomach move for HOURS!)…and their births. EVERY birth is a miracle!
Salad
Name a television personality who really gets on your nerves.
Ugh…I used to love him, now he’s like an itch that never gets sufficiently scratched: Ryan Seacrest
Main Course
What was a funny word you said as a child (such as "pasketti" for "spaghetti")?
Practically–I pronounced it "pracklitty"

Fill in the blank: I have always thought ______ was ______.
laughter … divine and as NECESSARY as breathing.
It’s an easy post, y’all. Lemme know if you choose to do it, too.
Fabulous First Feast.
My scar is on the inside of my forearm too.
Like your blog.
Enjoy your getaway.
what a great feast. I am trying to figure out how hubby and I can afford a weekend get away..i may need to try what you did
Welcome to Friday Feast. I too think laughter is very important. I enjoyed reading your feast. Feel free to drop by my blog & have a look around.
Frances, Amy and Rose…it’s nice to “meet” y’all! Thanks for stopping in :).
Frances, neat, we’re scar sistahs, lol (and thanks for your kind words).
Amy, PRICELINE PRICELINE PRICELINE! My friend who “coached” me on this said she had gotten 4 star rooms as low as $40! Ours wasn’t that low, but it was still waaay less than half the stated rate. Good luck, it IS worth it, I promise (for your marriage 🙂 ).
Rose, glad you enjoyed my feast…I’ll be sure to check back with you, it’s likely going to be next week though (since we won’t be back til Sunday).
“pracklitty” is so cute! I love it.
Great Friday Feast!
My feast is served.
Have a wonderful day!

Ooh la la – a romantic getaway. In the famous words of Vicki – are you having a sexfest? Don’t answer that. I think I know the answer.
And HEY – looks to me like you’ve already chosen your Anniversary location – wherever that scrumptious litte meal is at.
This is what I call
Sex Fest 2007
Hope you and your husband have a great time on your getaway!
Welcome to Friday’s Feast! I put out a spread, too. 😉
Have a great weekend, enjoyed the Friday feast, maybe next Friday I will partake, if I remember!
Dear robin. Have a nice weekend! That scar sounds painful, ouch!
Too funny, Robin!!! I laughed at how you pronounced “practically” – the Inquisitor pronounces the word “theater” “Thee-dee-er” – LOL!
Have a GREAT weekend!!!!
😉
Have a great weekend!! Where is that picture from? It looks wonderful.
enjoy your weekend we look forward to all the details of the good time you had !!!
Well, I’m sure you’re enjoying Atlanta!
I hope it refreshed & renewed you
I have alot of scars.
I always mixed up shoulders and soldiers.
I’m in Poortland…. while you are in Hotlanta. notice my play on words?
I love Atlanta! The food alone! *drool*
Can you bring me back a doggie bag?
Well, I sure appreciate you Friday Feasters who visited the newbie on the block :). A PENSIEVE welcome to first time visitors Raggedy and Christie and I’ll check out y’all’s FF when I speedblog later this week.
Karmyn, ** lips are sealed ** (you know me better than that 😉 I always kiss and tell!).
Vicki, this was just a warm up…that won’t be til the anniversary trip!
Beccy, I’ll try to help you remember :).
LMM, had a GREAT w/e, thank you very much, and the scar was more weird than painful. You know that surprised look people have when they get shot on TV, like “I got shot???!!?”…that was the look on my face when I realized I was bleeding.
Susan, I can remember my sister trying to coach me in how to say it correctly, lol…I couldn’t hear my error, so I just kept saying it wrong.
Thomas used the word “boo-ghetti” (which I still call it), Rachel said “aminal” (which I didn’t correct until first grade) and I can’t think of any of Stephen’s. Love the originality of the Inquisitor’s, though :).
Claudia, I don’t know, but Friday’s Feast is the brainchild of Susie (Bluebird Blogs); she must’ve picked it up from istockphoto or something (can’t remember who she uses at the moment).
Chris…stayed tuned ;).
LCO…yes, yes and yes!
Pamela, now your comment cracked me up…I thought you had a lot of scars BECAUSE you missed up shoulders adn soldiers…reading it a second time I totally understood you.
What play on words?? 😉
Jenny, if you are ever there, I will drive to meet you and eat delicious food. Yeah……..LIKE THERE WAS ANYTHING LEFT OVER FOR A DOGGIE BAG??? You know better than THAT!
Just echoing your “I ‘heart’ Priceline” sentiments.
Peace.
