Never had ’em
Never had them…Happy WW!
I’ve never had a hot boiled peanut! Don’t know if I like them or not.
My Wordless Wednesday is up too! 🙂
I’ve never had a hot boiled peanut! Don’t know if I like them or not.
I don’t think I’ve ever had them. Look delicious!!
I had them in Georgia once. Suffice it to say they were not my favorite. Georgia peaches were my favorite.
well, my first impression was that they looked like the bugs people eat on Fear Factor. Probably not a good sign…
Never had any, but I’m curious now! Happy WW!
I betcha I would like them.
Oh my hubby likes and love that. Can i have some?
mine is here http://happymomiam.blogspot.com/2007/12/wordless-wednesday-fall-trees.html
Hi Robin. Love ‘m or hate ’em, I find it hard to believe anyone wouldn’t be captivated by the texture in this photo. Gorgeous!
Loved your perspective on my WW from today: the glass is definitely half full. Life’s too short to spend playing the pessimist.
Thanks for always believing in the upside. Your comments are an inspiration to read, and I’m so glad you’ve found my blog, and I’ve found yours.
I never ate it and it really doesn’t appeal me either, lol !
My mind just went to a naughty place. Sorry. ;P
Happy WW!
love em’!
Never had them, but I love the picture.
My husband loves them if they are salted, but at first glance those looked kinda nasty…
Who on earth eats boiled peanuts? That’s just gross!
Come on by mine when you have a chance and see my 1st actual foto — I took it :0 It’s colorful and fun too! Happy WW!
never had them…they look like my son put all them in his mouth, sucked all salt off of them and spit them back out…not that he has ever done that before!!
I am so freaked out by the thought of boiled peanuts that I have never tried them. Interestingly you can buy boiled peanuts in Jakarta. Wonder if they taste different?
I admit they look gross but I DO love those boiled peanuts. They’re best when they’re hot. Haven’t had any in a while but now I really want some.
Happy WW!
The title is wonderful.i never had boiled peanuts. Are you serious?!
Dear robin. I thought this was a trick question, and that there would be a slimly slug or something in amongst the peanuts! I’ve never had hot boiled peanuts. Do YOU like them?
They taste pretty good but gggaaaah, they look gross, don’t they?
I love them. They only “looked” yucky in the photo but they taste good in real life. 😀
I love boiled peanuts,,, soft and sweet. Happy WW!
That looks so good! Have a great WW!
hummmm,…..I think I’d probably like them. 🙂
Hmmm… I’ve never eaten anything other than roasted peanuts. They DO look slimey!
LOL
~Maria
I’ve only had them once – and that was about 20 years ago, on a trip through your neck of the woods.
Hate ’em 🙂 It’s a very vivid picture though!
Loved them as a kid. We used to make them on week-ends and it seemed like it took them forever to cook!! They were a big part of our summer afternoon-playing-in-the-sprinkler ritual.
Those were the days before the big depression…my big depression (otherwise known as puberty).
I never had them! Great picture, though.
I love Boiled Peanuts!!! YUMMY. I just bought some yesterday!
Umm YUCK!
I had them at Thanksgiving for the first time this year and I wasn’t particularly enamored of them. I think I like regular peanuts better.
Never heard of hot boiled peanuts before. Sounds different.
AND OH SO YUMMY!!!! I miss them so much – people look at me like I have two heads when I talk about their yumminess!
I may be a southern gal, but I can’t stand ’em. I’m okay with peanuts in my Dr. Pepper, though. And Moon Pies with RC Cola.
Never even heard of them…what do they taste like?
hmmm…never had them!
No offense, they look disgusting. Great picture though!
I’ve never had them, either. I do love peanuts, though they look REALLY slimy.
Hmmm. Never actually tried them, but I like the smell of them, so I’ll bet I’ll like them. 🙂
I’ve never actually had them while they’re still hot… Happy WW 😛
Never had them either, have to say they do look a little gross!
I have a story about boiled nuts, only I thought the woman was saying Bull Nuts. It was quite the misunderstanding.
I’ve never tried them. The photo looks nasty;)
never tried ’em … and although the photo is artistically very cool, it is nasty enough to put me off ’em. heh
eeeeewwwwwWWWWW. and again I say, eeeewwwwwWWWWW.
Picture perfect, though.
Inheritor…no question about which is BETTER!
Carrie, hilarious! Trust me, I’d take the bugs!
Genny, please…take them ALL!
Carmi, I’m just glad I didn’t scare ya to death…(and the sentiment is mutual).
D. Renee, I have NO idea where that could be! 😉
Junebug, KINDA nasty???!!!
Rhonda, actually, it’s a Southern delicacy…to some people, that is…!
Janet, I DO love this picture, but I DON’T love the nuts!
Alison, that’s the only part I’d try.
Shannon, hmmm, I wonder, too.
Irene, thanks…especially when it’s spelled correctly :/….
Dear Little Miss Moi, if you can’t tell by this stage in my comment response, NO, they make me wanna gag!
Claudia, YES!
Kelly, COME BACK!
Hey Min…glad you’re living post depression!
Thanks, Sandy.
Jane, me, too.
Cheeky, you can take the Southern Girl outta the South…;)…
Hulagirl, my kids don’t get that, and I’m not a fan, but I have plenty of friends who drop their nuts in a Coke (or DP). Me? ICK!
Diana, to me, they taste like what they look like…rubbery dried snot (shhh!)
Nikki, none taken…I AGREE with you!
Frigga, the only thing MORE disgusting than hot, boiled peanuts is COLD, boiled peanuts.
Robinella, hahahahaha.
Jubilee, more giggles (love your eeewwwWWWWs! 🙂
never had ’em. interesting though!
Happy WW!
They are a Southern delicacy here, also – Southern Queensland that is. Kingaroy, the “Peanut Capital” has a nut van that does A-W-E-S-O-M-E boiled peanuts, but to really appreciate them you have to have driven 5 hours in a truck, be with your Dad who is nuts for these delicacies and be under the age of 10.
Here in SE Alabama, we love boiled peanuts… My hubby especially. We live in the heart of peanut farming…check out the post about it on my recipe blog:
http://leahbellesrecipes.blogspot.com/2007/09/boiled-peanuts.html
I can’t say I’ve ever had a boiled peanut!
Never had them! I do enjoy peanuts though.
Hey, I’ve been browsing around here and love your posts. YOu should join us for Flaunt It Friday
I’ve NEVER had these…wow…they look yummy!
They don’t look appetizing. I’m not a Southern Gal, though, so…maybe it’s an acquired taste? Maybe not….
Love the picture though, and your responses to people’s comments 🙂
Happy WW!
I probably love ’em (I love roasted peanuts), but I’m allergic. So I have to leave ’em. *wistful sigh*
I have never had this very southern delicacy. It is very southern isn’t it? It seems very southern. What would I know though? I’m very northern. 6 years in Texas wasn’t enough to make me even mildly southern.
It sounds like it would be yummy though!
Not sure about this!
Jeanie, sounds like an awesome childhood memory to me :).
Leah Belle, it always surprises and amuses me when, in rural little towns, you’ll pass a truck parked on the side of the road with someone selling “hot, boiled peanuts”; there are hundreds of these stops in SC, GA, and I suppose AL, too.
Thanks for the invite MommyKelly :).
Tiggerland, why do I think you’d like ’em?
Allison, I think they ARE an acquired taste (one I don’t plan to get anytime soon!).
Smarmoofus, somethings are better left unknown ;).
Nan, you Canadian, you! 😉
Chris, me either ;).
