Clearly, an indication a) I have too many blogs in my reader; b) I’ll NEVER catch up; c) I’m the eternal optimist thinking "One day I’ll have time to read ’em all," d) it’s past time to "tighten" Bloglines.
Cleared…whew, that feels good!
This feels a lot like finally getting that "last load" of laundry done, only to walk upstairs and see the hamper’s on its way to full.
Yep, I just checked–"three unread posts".
And so we begin again….
Ah yes, the nuclear option. I do this about every six months or so with my reader. Such a lovely feeling to see the count under 100.
I understand that feeling all too well.
sigh. . .
Blimey – I have a clear out every time I reach a 100!
I refuse to look at the number of unread posts since I just can’t bring myself to clear them out. Instead I’m just reading at my leisure in between catching up with unread email, both personal and work related.
And you don’t feel guilty at all? OK, I know I have a guilt complex . . . Thanks for publicizing what you’ve done and making me feel free to do the same! (And reclaim my life back.)
Been there done, done that, blogged about it! I am maybe just a teensy weensy bit OCD so seeing all those unread items…not so great feeling. Good luck!
I’m in the same boat with bloglines — so many blogs, so little time.
plus you’re really churning out the posts, too!
Sounds like you’re having a wonderful time (love the title Sisterhood of the Traveling Laptops) … and I’m sure you’ll understand me leaving a single comment for several posts as I try to catch up after falling behind. I can’t imagine 5418 unread posts and am grateful Google Reader stops counting at 1000 … so when I see 1000+ at the top, I have no idea how many more than a thousand unread posts there are and I’m less tempted to ‘mark all as read’ just because.
Hugs and blessings,
I’m the same way. I try to get caught up and make the rounds at all the fab places, but I get so far behind.
But everyone else’s lives are so interesting and cool. {whine, whine)
