Our family, school and community are reeling today following the tragic accident last night that took the life of one of my childrens’ friends and leaves another fighting for his life in intensive care. Ryan Gill had just celebrated his 17th birthday.
Seventeen.
Receiving “that” call at 12:45 a.m. is the nightmare every parent dreads; sharing this news with our children, one of the most helpless feelings I recall as an adult.
We’re all exhausted physically, mentally and emotionally, and would appreciate your prayers on behalf of the families involved. I’m trusting in the hope we have in Christ–that though this caught us by surprise, though I want to wake up tomorrow and this have been merely a dream–that His ways are higher than mine, and in God’s economy, somehow this makes sense.
