Hey, if Jesus can accept you, maybe I can too…maybe.
Min, are you talkin’ Reggie’s friend or Mary’s son and God’s only begotten? 😉 Either way, if I send you another prize pack might I tip the scales?
I know you are a freak. I saw the award you won for WT.
Have you read the book that came out a little bad after this song first came out? Called Jesus Freaks – a book about martyrs and those who have committed themselves to Him.
Kudos to you for posting this!
I love their use of historical and biblical context in that video. And the artistry. And raw talent. And passion. Lots to love.
Trivia: About 20 years ago, when the members of DC Talk were attending Liberty University where they met and formed their band, my husband George was Toby and Michael’s biology prof. They called our house in the middle of the night once to find out if certain info would be covered on the next day’s test. You think maybe cramming biology facts wasn’t their top priority?
Nikki…what can I say?? :/ If the
shoe“dingo” fits…?Heather, I HAVE seen it, but I never picked it up (which is odd, given I LOVE the song!). I didn’t realize what it was about (I just figured it was Toby Mac going off on some JF tangant…). NOW, I’m curious, lol. A good thing ;).
Jeanne, let’s see….true, exactly, yes, absolutely, and agreed. And, how cool is the trivia you added? Can you believe so much time has passed??
I see you won willowtree’s Aug award congrats- no doubt you will display it with pride!!
I read Jesus Freaks. It really is a good book. Love the video. 🙂
You can pick either Jesus that you want. One guarantees eternity in wonder, beauty and happiness, the other guarantees a lifetime of heavy labor in the penitentiary.
Your choice. (That Dingo probably won’t help any).
Love DC Talk – love them! One of my good friends from college is married to Toby. Here’s more trivia for you – his name isn’t Toby. His family calls him that because he was born in October.
Thanks for rockin’ my socks, chica. Been a while since I listened to that song, and it was grrrreat!
Chris…in a manner of speaking ;).
Debbie, I’m getting more curious…
Min, Door #1 all the way 😉 (although I’d take the other one out for lunch and buy him a burger and fries).
Hey Jana, loooong time! I had no idea I’d be getting some serious Toby Mac trivia with this post, lol.
Sabrina, you just gotta jam when you hear it, don’t cha? I always smile when I hear it :D.
Jesus is just alright with me. I guess you could call me a Jesus Freak too… lol, been a while since I’ve used that phrase.
The photography has artistic merit, but it’s not my style. More of a guy flick? I like the song tho.
Nice to see you posting pro-Christian video. Needless to say, I think it can be a very powerful medium for witness. Thanks for stopping by today, Robin!

Jesus Freak is definitely one of my all time favorite songs. It came out back in the day when I was a youth worker with YFC – and I used their book Jesus Freak in our Bible Study with the teens. It is good – your teenagers might really like it. It really gives our easy Christian lives some much needed perspective.
