When I cleaned out our fireplace a while back, finding several of these little guys broke my heart. It gave me a new appreciation for the formerly annoying chirp I had heard from our little feathered friends…. It’s also personifies how my heart felt when I wrote Bittersweet Momology.

A good reminder of how fragile life really is. So sad.
How Sad.
Some poor birdie parents are grieving somewhere. 🙁 Hope you don’t roast the parents on a cooler night.
Oh, it’s so sad to see a broken egg, alone…we had a nest in one of our potted plants on our patio this summer that had a couple eggs in it. I was so careful watering it not to mess with the little home of my feathery friends. Shortly I had a new bird family in my plant…it was so neat to watch. They moved on shortly after the chicks could hop around. I was so sad.
Have a happy Wednesday!
PS: Hang in there with the crying teenager, mine is 20 and her homework in college is killing her, we have regular breakdowns here. Just love on her when she’s ready for some loving. 😉 It’s all you can do.
A couple of small birds built a nest in our patio cover. Two of the babies hatched and fell out so I kept them in a box until they were able to fly away. I think they made it. So I feel for you and your sad discovery.
Oh! How sad! Poor birds.
That’s sad. We should be more careful next time. 🙂
Happy WW!
Oh. That really is sad. I think that with all of the building and encroaching into their territory, sometimes birds get a little confused when it comes to how and where they should build their homes.
Awe, that breaks my heart too :(, but Happy WW to you!
Aw!
Still an impressive picture, though.
It always makes me so sad to see that. I haven’t yet had the heart to explain it to my little daughter.
That is sad! :o(
How sad!
Awww…
That’s sad, but you couldn’t know !
That is sad, but life isn’t always fair. Nature can be quite cruel.
That’s terrible:-(
I’m always trying to rescue animals, LOL. I recently saved an abandoned baby squirrel, I pick up stray dogs and call their owners, and saved a cat that’d been hit by a car. It was just left on the highway…that was heartbreaking, the little guy had to be put down. Made for a very sad day.
It is sad! Poor thing!
Awww, that is sad. 🙁
Awwww… :*^( Poor babies… I am a total sucker for baby birds and nests full of potential. I like it that God is too. “His eye is on the sparrow…”
