Many of the elevenmoms are asking for your best holiday "green", decorating, or money-saving tip, and in a nutshell, mine is simply this: 

We all re-use gift bags & bows, some of us even re-use wrapping paper!  Since I don't own Christmas china, I use my wedding china whenever occasion arises.  It alwaysALWAYS makes me sad for those friends who tell me theirs is still in boxes in the attic.  My philosophy?  I'd rather break a piece than never use it…and I have my mother-in-law to thank for modeling this for me :).  I challenge you to use your fine china when you'd rather use paper; a) it reduces land-fill waste, and b) it'll add "special" to every occasion, c) washing dishes with family or friends is actually enjoyable, d) it's just wise stewardship of what you already have!
