    Our Annual Fireman’s Family Picnic, several of our volunteer firehouses all get together with members and their families for a day at the park. Relaxing, great friends, good food, games and events for the children and adults. It’s an annual event, the communities way of saying “Thank You for all that you do”. A great time is always had by all! 🙂

    Our community always has “Friday After Five” with free bands on the square during June & July, at the end of summer, the “Sweet Corn Serenade” is always a hit! 🙂

    I had trouble finding the “comment” link, too. I had to hit the link for the “Land’s End” main facebook page, and then hit my browser’s “back” button for the “comment” link to show up 🙂 hope that helps!

    Apparently one must become a fan first in order to comment on their page; that got it for me. Here we go:

    The big event around here is the Shenandoah Apple Blossom Festival (‘though it’s already past for this year). People come from all over the country for this! It bears some similarities to a county fair, as far as the “flavor” of it, the events that take place, etc.

    Milcah SynerHello. Can’t miss event in my community is North Chicago community days. North Chicago is celebrating it’s 100 year anniversary. First event like it that I can recall and it’s going on for 4 days.

    I live at the beach in Delaware so you just can’t miss spending a day with your toes in the sand, listening to the waves roll in. Of course then you have to have beach fries, frozen custard, and visit the farmer’s markets for local fruits. There are lots of free concerts at bandstands and parks that are perfect for taking a blanket and enjoying a free show.

    I live in southeast Massachusetts and our town has all kinds of summer events. The big one for the kids is the Annual Teddy Bear Parade where all the kids walk the parade route with their stuffed friends and then have ice cream afterwards. And of course, the annual Portuguese Feast is a big celebration of culture in the community.
