    Maybe we should consider a different POV on it? Not every child lives in the safe homes we provide. Some children do get picked on and beaten up for being a “different” color. If it hurts their feelings, it hurts their feelings.
    If something hurt your feelings and others “minimized” it, wouldn’t you label them insensitive?
    Just asking.
