i’m going against the crowd here. i love love love number 3. why? i dont know. it just jumped out at me from the rest. (altho until i got to 3, no. 1 was looking mighty fine)
I like the first one because it was the first one and I responded to it immediately.
Looking at the rest of them in such rapid succession only detracted from my first strong impression and caused me a bit of confusion.
But I’m back with the first. There’s just a whole lot more content to that photo than the rest IMO.
I like #2 and #4 – because of the deep contrast b/n the white and the dark blue of the sky.
Those always made me want to jump out and land in those fluffy clouds.
I like the last one because clouds and plane become one.
On another note. Do you remember the Fr-Can man my mom was smitten with from my Anniv post? When he was transferred, he took pictures like this and made a book and wrote her a poem and entitled it “Silver Wings” which was one of my Mom’s favorite songs back then. No wonder she was smitten. I long for her lost love.
I’m an odd duck (but we knew that) – I like the third photo, b/c of the position of the wing, in relation to the clouds. Also, b/c the wing is less obvious…
I like the first photo. When I first looked at it I thought the plane wing was a skyscraper and that I was looking straight up in to the sky. It is an exhilerating picture.
How much do I love your thoughts! You sound just like the junk inside my head (you should be VERY scared right now).
Thanks for taking the time to give me your impressions rather than just writing a # with no explanation.
I did “see” a skyscraper after Junebug mentioned that (pretty cool). And yes, I’ve wanted to play in the clouds since I was a little girl (sometimes my head just gets stuck there).
I haven’t yet googled the “rule of thirds” e-mom, but something about that is familiar. And vertigo girls? I had that this time last year and it is AWFUL!
Again, thanks for chiming in…I like me some good chimers :).
Oh, this is just great! I’ve been agonizing over how much I miss Maui (photos at my place), so I do a little blog hopping to cheer up, and then I see this! You’re killing me.
I like photo #3 best.
for artistic merit the first one. Why? The clouds and the wing seem to draw your eye to the center, where there is a juncture of wing, cloud and light.
but, for originality I like the 2nd one where the cloud monster is opening it’s mouth in preparation of a steel meal.
you asked.
I like the first one, because I see less of the wing, the clouds are more interesting, good contrast between sky and clouds and it seems to leave more to my imagination. 🙂
Two.
But I don’t see a cloud monster…I see a baby opening his mouth to eat strained beets, not because he likes them, but because his mother is creative with the delivery…
“Open wide, Howie, here comes the airplane…”
I love your title. I think that #1 is the best because the clouds are stormy-like, but yet there is light shining from above. The deep blue in the other photos is captivating, but I choose #1.
COOOOOL shots! Looks like you can just reach out and grab those clouds!
I like the first one because of the clouds. Wonderful pictures!
Very interesting…great shots.
One or two because it makes me feel like I could run and jump and play in the clouds =))
I like the first one. To me, the others look like wet runways. Because I have a weird perspective of things, I guess.
Cool photos!

I like them all, they’re on a plane, duh! 🙂
I think #5 the best, clean blue sky, wing is at a good angle.
I vote for number one. There is enough wing to set your location as in the airplane but not enough to distract from the clouds.
I like the first one because it was the first one and I responded to it immediately.

Nice shots of the clouds. Happy WW! 🙂
the first one, but they are all great
I think they are all nice, but I like #1 because of the cloud definition and texture.
some real cool sky shots. happy ww
The first one is definitely the best because the ruffled clouds are so intriguing that at first you don’t even notice the wing.
I like #2 and #4 – because of the deep contrast b/n the white and the dark blue of the sky.
Those always made me want to jump out and land in those fluffy clouds.
my vote is for number one!!
For me 1 and 3 the clouds look all soft and cotton wool like!
I like the last one because clouds and plane become one.

My fav. is the first… because it most closely adheres to the photographer’s Rule of Thirds. Heard of it? If not, google. LOL!
I like the first photo. When I first looked at it I thought the plane wing was a skyscraper and that I was looking straight up in to the sky. It is an exhilerating picture.
Junebug! I thought the same thing.
I mean about the skyscraper.
But it gave me vertigo.
Then I started seeing faces in the clouds.
*cleaning glasses*
great picture gallery. Happy WW.
I like #2. Good lighting, less shadows, and sense of wide open space.
ack, they all give me vertigo!

Not sure between 1 and 3. All great though 🙂

#1 is by far my favorite. I like how the black triangular part of the wing breaks up the shot.
Thanks for the beautiful view of the clouds!
