Glitter and glue. I was glad to have preschool-age children to legitimize playing with glitter and glue again, a childhood treat for me in the days when imaginations roared louder than the techno noise of today.
My youngest son completed a school project recently that required the use of these long-time friends of mine…I needed to take their picture…I needed them to "last longer".
Do you have a favorite? Does one view stand out more than the other? Can you express why? I’d love to know your thoughts :).
1)
4)
5)
6)
I vote for number 2. I love the limited depth of field with both foreground and background blurred. Was that on purpose? Were you playing with the aperture or did you leave the camera set on auto? Also, I love the line created following the glitter leading to the glue. Great composition.
Check out my WW post also.
My vote is for #2, also. It just appeals to me, though I can’t tell you why. But isn’t that what art is all about? The feeling you get when you see it?
I’ve used it on a watercolor Honest. It makes it fun and freeing.
number 2
(I feel like a kid in school — elmers glue, sparkles and number 2 )
Those are really cute shimmers:) Love them all!
Here’s mine for today!
Yen’s Wordless
Happy Holidays!!!
Can I some of those? 😉 I love #2!
Can I some of those? 😉 I love #2!
P.S. This will be my last try…the spam filter is not letting me go through for whatever reason…can you imagine my patience? This is my 6 attempts…lol
I like #2 and #6 the best. Not really sure why though, they just appeal to me more.
Come visit my Wordless Wednesday if you get a moment! 🙂
I really couldn’t decide between 3 and 6… but I’m leaning toward 6. I think. I really do like the composition of 3. *torn* hehehe

1, 5, and 6 in that order. It’s a neat idea.
Happy WW! 🙂
BTW, we were in Dublin, Ireland, last spring for the Temple Bar scene.
..
Ahem. I vote for three or four, because they look as though they have been explored, but as a former preschool teacher, a photo of glitter would require a big, sticky piece of paper with running streams of glue and all the glitter colors mixed together, caught on childish eyelids and fingers and deposited on my carseat on the ride home from a very satisfying day of preschool instruction.
(Yes, glitter and glue evokes some very fun memories; can’t wait for my grandbaby to be born and be old enough to play in glitter and glue at Grandma’s house!)
I love the composition of #6. Can’t tell you why. Glittery colors all lined up. Who knows?
Happy ww!
Cool photos of the glitter and glue. 🙂 #3 appeals to my eye, although I can’t tell you exactly why.
I’ll go with number 3. I’ll make sure I show these pictures to my daughter, she is 4 and she loves glitter!
I like the second one. I like the way the glitter is all lined up and then you can see the glue way in the back. 🙂 Have fun!!
Hmm…I like #5 though. I think it looks like a big smile. 😀
I’m sorry, did you ask me a question? I was distracted by the lovely, seductive bottle of red glitter. Glitter and sequins…two of my favorite things.
I think 3 but then 4 and 6 also appeal to me.
I love 4. Actually, I love any glitter that is still intact, and not all over my clothes and floor.
#5 cuz for me glitter and glue only happened at school!
5 is my favorite – it almost reminds me of a smile. 🙂
Hugs,
Holly
It’s #2 and #6 for me. I love this type of setup. There’s just something very appealing about it to me. I took a photo of my neighbor’s white picket fence with bright tulips in front of it with a long, low shot like that. It turned out so cool! Great post, Robin! Thanks for dropping by. 😀
Wow, what beautiful composition. People are listing numbers…you must want to know which one we like best. Like someone said, I’m much too distracted by the pretty pictures. 🙂 Great WW!
#6 is my favorite. I like the style of the photo. Love the pictures! Thank you for stopping by!
I like #1 and #5 because they seem to appear almost full and I like that. I always hate it when they get used up. Now I have gone through lots of glitter stage when my youngest daughter was a cheerleader for seven years. Glitter, glue and more glitter!! All over the carpet in her room. She had to make so many posters.
Now why do you think I like crafting so much?? It gets me back to my kindergarten roots!
I liked #1 best until I saw #6. I really like #6 the best!
Those pictures instill fear in me. Glitter gives me tiny little cuts every time I get it on my hands (so does hair when I cut hair–ever get hair splinter, it HURTS! I have thin skin or something.) I love the kind that already has the glitter mixed in so I don’t get it everywhere–the pictures are awesome though.
girl, just have fun with your glitter and glue, preschoolers or no!
I can’t wait to get to the glitter & glue phase. I’m with you! Making a mess is FUN!!
Mine’s up, too.

I like 2 and 6. . not sure why but i do!
These must be the Rockettes in their early days.
Or synchronized swimmers.
gorgeous photos, thanks for sharing.
Mine is up at 4Seasonsofmylife. Hope you can visit me too.
I like the last one. I have no idea why, it just appeals most to me. I am going to get out my glitter when I get home, just to play..it’s been too long.
I love all the pretty colors. I guess #5 stands out to me the most, I just like the shape. If I put more thought into it, like I wanted to sell the items I would probably like #2 or 6 but first like is 5. 🙂
Ooohhhh aahhhhhhhh! I like 5 and 2. I think 5 and 2 are the most glittery!
I like 4 and 6 best!
I like 1 & 6 the best. Just like that view better. Thanks for visiting A Mother’s Minute. The Santa suit in my photo is Civil War era. I took the picture in Nov. 06 in Gettysburg PA. Happy WW!
