Did you read this?
I got a repeat performance this morning.
I am convinced there is nothing man-made that comes close to touching the magnificence and beauty created by God…
…evidenced in sun rises…
…and sunsets…
…and rainbows…
…and waterfalls…
…and the ocean’s shore…
…and mountain ranges…
…and [fill in the blank with your favorite masterpiece of Creation 🙂 ]
The sound of my children’s belly laughs- pure unadulterated joy, with no hint of self-consciousness.
The early morning snuggles from my ever-growing children.
The way that my husband looks into my eyes and tells me that I’m beautiful.
The comfort of knowing that I am a child of God.
…and a star-filled sky…
A butterfly’s wings or a hummingbird in flight.
And the back of a baby’s neck
Soooooooooo very pretty!!!! =)
We were up at the lake working this weekend and had a GREAT time…the weather was WONDERFUL!!!! God is GREAT!!!! He gave us such a relaxing weekend!!! The water, the sun, the wind….awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww!!!!!!
HAPPY ST. PATRICKS DAY!!!
a baby’s giggle… and a cats contented purr
the waving wheat in a harvest breeze
a loving hello on a long distance call from someone you miss so much.
Lisa, ahhhh! I love that, too!
Shalee, me, too, me, too, ME, TOO!!
Stephen, a clear, star-filled night can slay me….:)
Hulagirl, I ALMOST added butterfly wings, and I LOVE your thoughts of hummingbird wings!
Jeannie, sounds like a fabulous weekend :).
Pamela, I agree with all of yours; I’ve often said I wish I could purr, that is the most contented sound I’ve ever heard–even more so than the breaths of a deep sleep.
Gosh, y’all, I’m LOVING your poetic thoughts! Keep ’em coming!
The sound of my children belly laughing. The smell of a brand new baby’s breath. My husband’s lips brushing my sleepy cheek in the pre-dawn hour before he left on his overseas trip on Sunday morning. God’s unshakeable mercy, love, kindness a patience toward a certain someone who constantly asks for c-l-e-a-r-e-r signs. And He always delivers (amazingly).
I’ll stop now. 😀
But, dang – I was on a roll, huh?!
Pristine mountain tops, a baby’s face while sleeping, clear water in a pool under a waterfall, a smile from an old soul, the wrinkles on a cute puppy, and so many more I can think of
-an early morning fog settling in the valley just before sunrise.
-riding my bike along country roads worshipping the creator and His creation.
And the sound of rain on the roof like I woke up to this morning. : )
The songs of the birds as they arrive after a winter away, the little drops of dew on my plant leaves that catch me by surprise as I walk by…and about a million other things. I agree 100%.
TLG, a V E R Y delicious roll, too ;). Great list!
Peculiar, Ooooo! I love the smile of an old soul…beautiful!
Chas, so riding isn’t just good for the body, huh? It’s good for the soul!
Becky, I KNOW it’s gonna be a great day when I’m greeted with the sound of rain…one of my favorite sounds!
Karina, Dew drops…so often taken for granted. I’m glad you S E E them :).
OH! Sooooo true. And watching the tide, rain on a rooftop, fall leaves on the trees, birds that sing the most wonderful “operas”, mountains rising from the earth….so name a few more….
