One breath short of life, she greets the world with open arms. Ebullient posture and poised to seize the day, this creature delights in the ordinary, I just know it!
This statue captivated me during my photo hunt at the Chattanooga Choo Choo gardens last week–time is the only thing preventing me from posting half a dozen more pictures (I might return to add a few).
Does she inspire you? Are you moved to write a poem? Can you hear the stories she has to tell? Is this how you welcome the morning?
For this week’s "Forty-or-less- Photo Challenge", write a brief post based on your response to this photo; come back on Friday and link your submission, and then visit others to see their take on the same thing. Remember, you can copy the photo to your post, pick up the "Friday’s 40-or-less Photo Challenge" button and invite your friends to share their response.
Don’t have a blog? No worries–if you’re inspired to respond, just do so in comments (on this post or Friday’s) and I’ll post it with mine :).

For fun, I’ve added a few more views (click any to embiggen):
The sculptor captured her essence perfectly. I can just imagine how she’s basking in and savoring the sun and the breeze. Happy WW…
I will be traveling Friday and can’t participate, but I love this statue. She makes me smile and makes me feel joyous and spirited. Is she reaching out to the sun, reaching for a hug from someone much taller or simply praising God for a blessing? I’m not sure, but I’m positive her heart is full.
I think she’s just finished singing a rousing song! On the other hand……
“Is this how you welcome the morning?”
ROFLMAO! Hahahahahaha
No. That’s how I greet a full moon.
Now I just have to remember to come back on Friday! More fun than I expected! THANKS!
Im off on holiday tomorrow so have had a go at this already. I will not be here to add Mr Linky though! But it is up on my blog.
After a dreary winter, she’s enjoying the soft breezes and the warm sun.
Can i already tell you that i wrote about why this girl is happy? {friday is my birthday so hopefully i wont be blogging!} thanks!!
She is just full of youthful joy!
She looks like she is expressing freedom, maybe she is a statue of springtime!
I apologize. The day took on a life of it’s own and although I intended to get over here earlier and ‘participate’ my brain is fried … but perhaps I’ll play tomorrow if that’s okay with you.
Hugs and blessings,
Oh that is beautiful!! I wish I could have that statue in my garden. It’s exactly how I feel when I greet each new day.
Well, its’ Friday here already…and I did my humble entry already…not so poetic yet I just miss somebody so much!
