I didn’t get any farther than #5, #6, #7 and #9 before I found stuff we totally agree on. Please don’t tell my senior English teacher I ended that sentence with a preposition.
# It blows my mind to think about the Trinity and eternity.
# I can’t think about either for very long.
Me too! It is such a deep concept! (I thought I was the only one…lol!!
Great giveaway! :o)
I drove and electric blue Honda Civic hatchback. I am thinking people just want to unload their electric blue cars onto desperate to drive teenagers.
And I miss reading real books too. Thank God I am in a book club 🙂
I Stumbled (betskev).
Not cleaning house
Reading blogs is too fun
Oohh..prizes!
Winning would be wonderful
I really should vacuumm!
“I can’t read a compass. I mean, sure, I know they always point north but that doesn’t do me much good given #37”
Neither can I.
Hmm… I had braids done, too, but I had them done with extensions and it took MORE than 26 hours to do!!! I’ve had this done twice now, and would love to do it again but my husband isn’t nuts about it. 🙁 It’s SO easy! I didn’t have to brush my hair (it was very long already) for more than six weeks!
I could pick my family out of a line up too. I love my daughter’s laugh. It’s so all-of-a-sudden. I can’t roll my R’s either.
I haven’t the foggiest idea how to stumble. How about I retweet it??
Things we have in common are dancing. I took taking all through my school years, even a class or two in college and I too can’t spot very well. I wished I had video of my performances to show my husband and son. I think they would get a kick out of it. I always put on my resolution to read more. Enjoyed read your 100 things. Have a great day!
100 things:
#10 – my book reading is down due to blogging too!
#20 – me too on the toenails!
#44 – I WISH I was a strong swimmer. I envy you!
#56 Creme brulee is MY favorite Dessert.
#63 – I have’t replaced my watch battery either and use my cell phone to tell time
# 67 – My first car was a 1975 Ford Maverick
#70 – deep fried or with butter, baby!
#91. I only have sisters
Manners, manners, manner! I detest rudeness! I also read fewer books since I started this whole blogging business! Thanks for your generous offer!
I just love your 100 things list. I found, oh, about a hundred ways we are alike. Scary! 🙂
I wish I had paid better attention in ALL my history classes. I can’t remember much of anything now, but I find it fascinating, and wish I had retained more :/.
——————————————
I, too, wish I had paid better attention in history class. I am homeschooling my 6 and 8 year old sons and I am learning a TON of history this time around. The best part is that I am now very interested in it!
While I’m not a coffee fan (my thing is hot tea) I’m glad someone else enjoys a hot beverage for the warmth in the hands and wonderful aromas! 🙂
I can roll my r’s 🙂
I totally agree with the whole fingernails thing.
I don’t have a small pox vaccine scar.
Not sure why.
I have NO musical ability either LOL
Seriously, thanks for all the giveaways this week. You rock! (I stumbled for you too ; dawniemom)
I’m soooooooooooooooo with you on your # 31!!! I to have a Chicken Pox scare on my face! It’s just a little above where you mention yours is it! I feel like one of those woman who wear dots on their forehead to indicate marital status!!! I’m just indicating my loving ability to scratch the chicken pox on my forehead!!! =) I have ALWAYS wore bangs to cover it up! I hate it! I just recently let my bangs grow out! I’m thinking I’m going to go back to bangs!!! I’m not diggin the new look!!!
So that is how I feel we are some what a like! =) We both have chicken pox scars on our face!!!
We are the lucky ones! HA!
What a GREAT giveaway!!! It sounds YUMMERS in soooooooooooooo many different ways!!!!!
I joined for the first time ever today!!! =) I’m also doing my own giveaway…so get on over to my blog and enter!!!
I have to say the ballet thing cracked me up. I was told in later years by my own father that it was clear I was never going to get far in that and he was so glad when I quit. No, he’ll never live that one down.
I also appreciated the laughter comments. Wouldn’t it be nice if you could have a laugh like that everyday? Thanks for sharing this list, I’ve been inspired to do my own, though I don’t have a blog to share it on, yet…
Happy Halloween! You were a nursery school director for your church. I taught Sunday School. I adore the “Velveteen Rabbit” and plush toy. The “Trinity” is something to think about and I really like “Bath and Body Works!”
I am going to give a haiku a try:
It is Halloween
A day for trick or treating
Your secret treats are divine
Please enter me in your delightful drawing. I really appreciate it!
Thanks, Cindi
I need more happy
content, nature in my life
Please let me laugh more!
That’s my haiku, like how I remembered it was sposed to be about nature? Pick me, pick me, PLEASE!!! I want the laughing one, mostly because I don’t know what it is!
I cannot dance to save my life, never took ballet lessons and I am thankful there are people like you who are strong swimmers/lifeguards because I am NOT a strong swimmer at all!
Thanks for the giveaway!
daytoncat1(at)yahoo(dot)com
5, 17, and 24 are TOTALLY me! It’s funny how you can have so much in common with someone you haven’t even met!
Thanks for such a fun giveaway!
sblilly14(@)yahoo(.)com
I feel this way too. “Little things” in creation inspire me, too–ants working in a colony, snowflakes, fireflies; they remind me that God’s interested in the details and little things matter.
And all the knives in our kitchen desperately need to be sharpened or replaced!
I could copy most of your list. That was a fun read! Thanks for the chance to win!
I love the one about smiling with your lips and eyes! I totally agree!!
I don’t laugh enough either
I want to read more books too
I am starting to recycle more and be more green
I think long toenails dirty or clean are gross
I have absolutely no sense of direction either
Thanks for the contest!
Same for me with your #20 (gross!)and #69 (I wish I could)!
Great giveaway!
I love that just showered soapy smell, too! And I HATE to see anyone with unkempt finger and toenails, especially kids!
margelina@comcast.net
We have these things in common.
I love to laugh until I cry because something is really, REALLY funny.
Dirty fingernails gross me out too.
My daughter learned “mama” in the orphanage before she came home, and called both myself and my husband that. BUT then we taught her “please,” “thank you”, and “love you” before she got to Dada or anything else!
I love laughter! Especially weird, notable, and contagious laughter. I think genuine laughter is the one thing no one should ever feel self-conscious about, under any circumstances. I love creme brulee, and I really hate shopping. But there’s one big difference between the two of us, I think, and that’s that I actually CAN purr like a cat. Cheers!
boldnessbe(at)gmail(dot)com
I’ve been doing this a lot lately too: seeming to forget things that I should remember! My grandmother has Alzheimers and I guess maybe I’m paranoid that I have it too!
I love tiramisu as well!
I gave you thumbs up (same username) for this page.
WEll we are alike with number 5
“One of my favorite sounds is laughter, especially my husband’s and children’s laughs when it’s a deep-down belly laugh.”
I love hearing my family laugh, nothing sends a smile more quickly to my face and nothing washes away frustration more.
Even though I’ve never done ballet we do have laughter in common!

Ok, we have many things in common. I absolutely love coffee, for many of the same reasons you do. I cannot live without it.
I love all things in nature, big and small. I don’t understand how anyone can look around them at all the wondrous things and not believe in God.
I love the comment about Chicken $&^$ on a Shingle. I so remember my mom saying that one, along with my dads “want in one hand and (&%&^ in the other and see which one fills up faster.
There are quite a few more, but I really enjoyed reading them.
thanks for sharing

Ever since my watch battery died, I’ve been using my cell phone to tell time, too!
I am a fingernail freak, especially when it comes to my 6 year old son. I am with you on the faith aspect of things also. My Mother is a breast cancer survivor and my cousin is currently undergoing treatments but I do not worry about having cancer.
I am commenting about 72 & 73….it was the only time I sang too(my kids don’t request it anymore)and I would sing 3 as well but different songs.
Okay… So here’s what we have in common!
One of my favorite sounds is laughter, especially my husband’s and children’s laughs when it’s a deep-down belly laugh.
I love to laugh until I cry because something is really, REALLY funny.
That doesn’t happen enough.
I’ve found one of the downsides to blogging is I don’t read as many books.
I think I could pick my children and husband out of a police line-up, blindfolded, by their scents alone.
My favorite scent on a person is “freshly showered”, regardless of the soap, lotion or deodorant they put on after.
Dirty fingernails gross me out.
Dirty, long toenails REALLY gross me out.
I love the fact my faith is not stagnant.
It blows my mind to think about the Trinity and eternity.
I love how Jesus lived the gospel, showing us how to love God and love others.
However, when I forget something I think I should remember, I wonder if it’s early Lewy Bodies Disease or Alzheimer’s.
I’ve seen the end-life of dementia face-to-face…and realized there’s a paradoxical mercy in car crashes and sudden heart attacks.
I wish I had paid better attention in ALL my history classes. I can’t remember much of anything now, but I find it fascinating, and wish I had retained more :/.
Recurring dream themes of mine used to be running away from someone who was chasing me, the ability to fly (sometimes in relation to the former), not being able to put my contacts in because they were too big for my eyes, and my teeth falling out.
I rarely dream about any of the above now, but the last thing makes me wonder if I grind my teeth.
Good manners are VERY important to me.
“Large things” in creation inspire me–the ocean, waterfalls, mountains, thunderstorms–and perhaps more than anything else I can put my hands on, speak to the imagination, creativity, power, grace, beauty and generosity of God.
“Little things” in creation inspire me, too–ants working in a colony, snowflakes, fireflies; they remind me that God’s interested in the details and little things matter.
I don’t just love drinking coffee for the taste or caffeine…it’s for the warmth in my hands, its divine aroma, and an excuse to use fun mugs.
You can smile with your lips, or you can smile with your lips AND your eyes. The latter is MUCH more beautiful and engaging and I think it’s easy to tell the difference.
I d.e.t.e.s.t. a victim mentality and blaming others for your circumstances.
It’s unattractive in children, it’s deplorable in adults.
The more I read Scripture, the more I want to read Scripture; the less I read Scripture, the less I want to read Scripture. What’s up with that?
All the knives in our kitchen desperately need to be sharpened or replaced!
I’m very competitive when playing games, but it probably doesn’t come across that way.
I don’t care for carnations at all.
How’s that for hogging a little of your comment space? 😉
I went through the BlogHer and I am very guilty of belittling my children’s fears. It is so easy to say “there are not ghosts, etc.”. I guess it goes along with my nickname “Hard Hearted Hannah”-I need more compassion! Thanks for the chance to win.
I am reading the 100 things about you.
– I, too, love the sound of laughter. A genuine laugh makes me laugh too, more than the joke told for instance. I’d see a group of people laughing and I’d instantly feel happy too and ready to laugh. 😀
– I wish I still remember my history classes too. 😐
🙂
I LOVE whipped cream in my hot chocolate too!
Thank you for the great giveaway!
We have a lot of things in common. I love laughter – both my children (or any child) and my own. I love it when I’m overly tired and find someting amusing and laugh until I cry! That is the best!
My resolution is to read more too! I have so many great books lined up to read.
I hear ya’ on th toe nail thing! LOL!
I agree with you on the dreadlocks too.
I don’t even have a watch, just my phone.
I could go on and on but from what I read on your list we must share the same thoughts on at least 75% of them.
Thanks for the giveaway!
I really want to win, do you want to know why?
If I don’t win I’ll surely cry.
Dunkin Donuts is my preferred drink.
It keeps me awake and helps me to think.
At Bath and Body works there is a scent called Christmas Tree.
Whenever I smell it I am as happy as can be.
Chocolate happens to be my favorite candy.
If I win this contest life will be great and dandy.
Ok… so I’m no poet. I get an “A” for effort thought, right? LOL!!!
#6 I love to laugh until I cry because something is really, REALLY funny. – ME TOO!!
#11 – I have the same New Years Resolution 🙂
Please enter me and thanks for the giveaway!
I found a few things we had in common, I wasn’t able to get all the way through the list.
Why should I win this?
soon to have a home again
what better way to celebrate
then with things that make me smile
Well, I know it’s not really a haiku or a limerick, but I’m not a poet, it’s what came to my mind (C:
#29…I agree sometimes a sudden unexpected death is better. My Grandma suffered from cancer for years and died at 66…and Grandpa died in perfect health in a car accident at 74. But as I look around now….I know it’s best he’s gone, there are things that he would not be able to handle happening!
I love your list!! I think like you I could find my family on scent alone. I love that I know and recognize everything about them – even their smells.
wow I can identify by the smells too, my first car was a vw bug that burned your feet and legs- not convertible and a grantorino bright blue with a black top that everyone called the batmobile and everyone knew where I was anytime of day- very distinct car.. We have alot in common too. Dirty nails and long nails on guys gross me out too and I love fresh clean smell- like Ivory smell not overpowering deodorant mrs.mommyyATgmail.com
I danced for 8 years and couldn’t spot well, either! And I would try practically anything that’s been deep fried…yum!
oh to win, to win,
this would help me not to spend
#20 Dirty, long toenails REALLY gross me out!! It makes me gag when my DH PURPOSEFULLY comes out into the living room by me to cut his toenails!! I had told him EVERYTIME that it grosses me out and he still cannot go to the bathroom and shut the door when I am not around to cut them!! UGH!!!
Surprise, Surprise Win
Oh how I love to
Goodies, Coffee, More
Please thanks for the chance.
# Dirty fingernails gross me out.
# Dirty, long toenails REALLY gross me out.
and I love hearing my sons laughter more than anything in the world.
I really need to win this
since having my son
spending money on me is something I miss
shopping for myself would be so much fun!
LOL!
We have in common, numbers 5 6 7 and 8 on your list! Especially The Sting one. Paul Newman is my most favorite acting icon. I study acting and am a performer, and he will always be one of the mentors who I look up to.
Thanks for the awesome giveaway!
my haiku…ahem:
you should pick me cause
we both adore Paul Newman
that makes us kindred
I love the Sting One of my alltime favorite movies Laugh til I cry yes I do that often I have recycled for years Have a 3 level bin in my utility room One for cans, 1 glass and 1 for plastics and paper goes on top GREAT IDEA I also compost all my veggies scapings and but them in a barrel that I roll outside Grow my own veggies and fruit too yummy

Last January, I made it my resolution to read more books too (I even joined a book club). It really helped me put down the work and read more often. How did you do on your goal?
Thanks for the giveaway!
I’ve tried my hand at some haiku before, nothing fancy, but I figured I’d give it a try here. Loved the creative commenting here (maybe that’s because I like to write).
newly married girl
moved to new city–lonely
package would bring cheer
zipster81(at)juno(dot)com
I read your list and the things that stick out for some reason are: I used to have dreams all the time about my teeth falling out, I hate those dreams! My hardest job was working at a daycare center in College.
The main thing we differ on: I am always hot!
Thanks so much for the giveaway!
#94, I’m also very competitive in games!
bebemiqui82(at)yahoo(dot)com
I loved reading your list! I never took ballet, but I always wanted to be able to dance. I have NO rhythm but a lot of people like my singing voice. I find #82 puzzling too! I totally agree with #80 and my worst recurring dream lately is about my teeth falling out but first they get get kinda soft and crumbly. I am usually in a class or out shopping and have to spit them out in my hand. (gross!)
I loved your list…I can’t roll my r’s either!
And I, too, have a scar on my left arm from the smallpox vaccine. That was the worst vaccine I have ever received!
Love your blog and what a nice giveaway!
Oh my…when I started my blog, my profile said I am an avid reader- reading two -three books a week. HA! I think I just had to renew the one on my nightstand for the 6th week in a row…yep, blogging has taken that time.
after reading your list I decided to subscribe and I stumbled I like it for you! 🙂
We share the same favorite desserts!!!
There once was a girl named Robin.
Her favorite thing was bloggin’
She gave me a chance
To win quite a stash
And then my day was rockin’
I’m not very good at that!!
I also hate dirty long toenails. That is disgusting. I hate long toenails period.
you know……one of my favorite sounds is also laughter. nothing makes me happier than the sound of my kids laughing. it can turn my frown upside down in an instance.
Read your 100 things. We have #8, 24, 36, 42 (I thought I was the only one this weird), 71, 83 (help my unbelief!, and 84.
Number 63 is me somewhat. I found it much easier to use my cell phone for time than to wear a watch.
#17 – I think I could pick my children and husband out of a police line-up, blindfolded, by their scents alone.
I think I could too.
I totally use my cell phone to tell time! My watch battery broke last December.
And, I cannot agree more about coffee. It’s a whole experience.
Great contest!
Laugh until you cry….in the last 7 years this has happened to me once, i completely lost it, i laughed and could not stop and started to cry and my family was dumbfounded as i never lose control. I never find anything that funny.
And if you don’t have an aversion to naughty words email me and i will tell the story.
Ang
I’m pretty sure I could pick my family out of a police line-up based upon their scent as well! And, I adore hearing my son and husband sincerely laugh, too, it makes my heart sing.
princesslimey (at) gmail (dot) com
I lost my mom to breast cancer also.
Here is a haiku.
I am so darn poor
I can’t afford to eat dirt
take pity on me!
Haha thats all I have got
rachelcrisman@hotmail.com
I went to the Black Friday VIP ad. Wow! That sounds like so much fun! I may enter, but I am just out of the 40 mile radius. However, I can stay at my sister in laws house for the limo ride!
I absolutely Love Paul Newman and Robert Redford. I agree someone freshly showered is awesome. Oh I hate long toenails especially if someone has them painted all cute.
We have a LOT in common! I have a background in dance, though not as long as yours, probably. I did it for probably 9 years. Then went to cheerleading because there wasn’t a dance studio when I lived with my dad.
I also love to laugh until I cry! I go for it at least once a month at my Ladies Night Out.
Your 100 items are great! I love your humor! One thing for sure is that we are alike on No. 10 I’ve found one of the downsides to blogging is I don’t read as many books.. Same problem for me. I find not only am I not reading as much but I am not getting MUCH done lol
Thanks for hosting this giveaway!

cloudspassby78 (at) yahoo (dot) com
This is a great one! Thanks for the chance to win 🙂
Number 19 and 20 for me…I hate unkept finger nails and long toenails are one of the most revolting things on the planet. I am a nurse and this is the area of my training where I really struggled…”foot care” was not my forte!
owatz (AT) telus (DOT) net
Robin, your personality shines through in your blog posts. I love it!
I also love laughter, coffee, good manners and hate shopping. The more I read Scripture the more I want to read it. Looking at the beauty of God’s creation (sun, moon, stars, mountains, children, etc) inspires me. I wish I paid more attention in history class too but I’m trying to read more now to make up. Do you think I’d get credit or is it too late? I also use my cell phone to tell time and I even have an expensive watch but it needs servicing. My cheaper watches worked better it seems. Best of all, I also love that Jesus lived out the Gospel and showed us how to live in love.
Gosh, this was way too fun!!!!!
Paul Newman was so very easy on the eyes! I was so sad when he died, but loved that AMC played a bunch of his movies and I recorded them all with the DVR. I don’t have a sentimental attachment with clothes but my husband does. What is up with that??? Maybe you can shed some light! I am also a subscriber!
Some things (among others) we have in common:
49. My kids’ first words were “Please” and “Thank You” not “DaDa” or “MaMa”.
50.Just kiddin’ (but those were among their first words) :).
Thanks for the giveaway!
i love your 100 list and i’m also started to be more green 🙂 Great giveaway! I hope I’m chosen as the lucky winner! 🙂
Hmmm (clearing throat), a Haiku:
Secret treasure chest
The funnest giveaway yet
Lotions! Donuts! Ooh!
=)
treflea4 at gmail dot com
This is a great one! Thanks for the chance to win 🙂
I love cashews. I hate dirty fingernails. Manners are important to me. And that thing about reading scripture – totally! What is up with that?
We definitely agree on the following things:
Dirty, long toenails REALLY gross me out.
I’m geography impaired and have no sense of direction. LOL.
I love the fact my faith is not stagnant.
It’s worth it to me to pay a premium for whole cashews, halves and pieces don’t taste as good.
And..last but not least:
I don’t just love drinking coffee for the taste or caffeine…it’s for the warmth in my hands, its divine aroma, and an excuse to use fun mugs 🙂
Thank you for a Wonderful Giveaway!
Differences:
I have absolutely no dance skills!
I have never had chicken pox… and after being tested I’ve been told I have NO immunity to it. I’ll probably end up with a massive outbreak of them in my 30s. 😉
I can roll my R’s… but my mom, 1 of my sisters and 2 of my brothers cannot.
Similarities:
I love laughter, and laughing til the tears flow is something my sisters and I have fun doing when we’re together in the wee hours of the morning.
Dirty nails are definitely gross-outs for me!
The concept of eternity is one that has always blown my mind… sitting, just trying to fathom the concept of God never having a beginning… and never having an end… it’s something our finite human minds can’t comprehend!
Geographical impairment is definitely something I should be diagnosed with. When my husband and I first got married, he thought it was hilarious when I’d talk about going “down” to visit my family in SC. (We live in GA) I came by it naturally though, as my family still says they’ll come “up” to visit us sometime. 😉
I’ve had recurring dreams too…. when I was a kid, my recurring dream was that giant Highlights dinosaur stickers were chasing me. My most recent recurring dream was when I was pregnant with number 3… and I kept dreaming that my teeth were falling out. It was awful!
I think good manners are a MUST!
Cashews are my favorite nut, and I have serious sentimental attachment to clothes, which I’m trying to rid myself of. (Haven’t found a way to yet though…)
Coffee is my number 1 vice… Dark chocolate is number 2.
I feel very blessed to have both brothers AND sisters… my sisters are my dearest friends, and my brothers are the best encouragers I know!
I really dislike carnations… I don’t know why, but I’ve always thought they looked cheap.
I’ll be stumbling you! My favorite pastime…
#6, 19, 20, 31 & 32 are just some of the ways we are the same. I have a scar from chicken pox on my forehead, right in the middle…it sucks but I haven’t “seen” it for years.
Thanks!
brandyu at gmail dot com
#35 for sure! I don’t know much at all about history, and I hate that!!! My plan to is to re-learn it before I really get into homeschooling my son…then to make it FUN for him to learn, so he DOES retain it!!!
Thanks for all these great giveaways all week!!!
give_me_a_latte at yahoo
I learned from your sponsor that this new Tinkerbell DVD is the first cartoon movie where Tinkerbell speaks! I guess I never paid attention… she talks in Hook (but that’s not animated).
I resemble many of your 100 things… from dreaming about being chased to recognizing my family by scent to using my cell phone to tell the time since my watch died.
Girl, I matched you (to a tee) on several of your “100 Things” –
63. Ever since my watch battery died I’ve been using my cell phone to tell time.
69. I cannot roll my R’s.
84. I’m pretty much cold all the time.
97. I don’t care for carnations at all.
I don’t like marshmallows OR whip cream in my hot chocolate. My husband thinks I’m ill.
I also love Jesus and I also feel that even though it’s a simple thing to live that way, it’s actually really difficult to do.
And I love tirimisu!!
Good to hear your sis is a 10 year survivor and that you don’t let fear of breast cancer rule your life.
Hi! I subscribed to your feed during the last bloggy giveaway! I love to laugh! There is nothing like laughing so hard you cry! It is good for the soul! And I REALLY love hearing my son laugh! It does a mommy’s heart good! Also, my grandma is a breast cancer survivor of around 20 years now I think! And I also have an aunt who has been a survivor for about 4 years!!
#5—I have this on my blog, too..I love my son’s belly laugh…it cracks me up!
#15– definitely…I may or may not have fished cans from the park trash can…
#19—AMEN. #20. AMEN TIMES TWO
#31– I have one on my forehead right by my hairline!
#44- I am a horrible swimmer and would love to have you close by when I am in the water!
I so loved your list
Found myself nodding along
Glad I found your blog!
Thank you for the chance to win…it was fun reading about you!
I too can’t stand dirty nail and long dirty nails are just disgusting…I also would not turn down marshmellows on my hot chocolate..I too prefer LOTS of whip cream ..yum!!
amitymatthia[at]hotmail[dot]com
Most of my creativity must have been used up on this work project, Halloween and Holy-ween costumes and menu planning so I thought I’d take the easy out and Stumble this.
That was just too easy so I threw together this haiku, too.
Aromas so sweet,
from perfume to fresh coffee,
are better when free
can’t think about the trinity/eternity long
am geography impaired!
my kids learned please and thank you very early thanks to sign language!
I say the Mark 9 prayer a lot too!!
parresia03 (at) gmail (dot) com
#39 on your 100 things list – the exchange between the Rabbit and the Skin Horse gets me every time. I always choke up reading that bit to my son.
Thanks for the giveaway!
I should win to save my kin
and that is all that’s to it.
Dirty fingernails I dont like wither, ewwww
skyskyaa11[at]gmail[dot]com
Well, one of the things we have in common is that I hate dirty finger nails…the way that we are different is that I have never taken ballet. Thanks for the giveaway.
Chocolate is what I crave
though being clean is nice
I look at the calendar days
to when I have time to wash my arse
cuz life is tough
and time is lost
when your a blogger
and a mother
three times over
hope I win!
There’s no such thing as
a clean limerick so here’s
a haiku instead:
Little luxuries
are all the more precious when
you’re on a budget.
#15…. I get irritated when people don’t recycle either! INcluding hubby! lol.
#63–Not the same. I have about 10 watches, so I buy watch batteries in bulk.
Here is a few thing of how we are similar! I could have chosen A LOT more!
# I’ve found once you begin recycling, you think about environmental stewardship a whole lot more…I get a little twitchy when I see people throwing cans and plastic bottles in trashcans :/.
#I love how Jesus lived the gospel, showing us how to love God and love others.
– I sometimes cry in church singing Praise just because I’m so overwhelmed of what he did for me (oh, and I’m pregnant! LOL!)
That was fun reading your 100 things list. We do have some similarities – I love laughter, The Sting, good manners and being inspired by God’s beauty in the world and don’t like victim mentality. And we have several differences – I didn’t take ballet and have never used a blowtorch. I have also never won a marathon dance contest!
Thanks for a fun giveaway!
I have 2 watches and the batteries have died on both of them so I just rely on my cell phone now…
Stumbled for ya! I love the power of a stumble and you are the one that taught me that 🙂
Ok, so I can’t write Haiku’s. I tried earlier this week to write one about a sock monkey. I really want to win that monkey. It was rainbow striped like lifesavers. SO! I will agree with the following things (among others) on your 100 things about me post. Have you ever made tiramasu at home? Have you ever had your husband order creme brulee, because he likes the creme part and then picked off all the yummy carmelized deliciousness and eaten it mixed in with your creme brulee? It’s beyond goodness. (grin)
Dirty fingernails gross me out.
Dirty, long toenails REALLY gross me out.
I love the fact my faith is not stagnant.
It blows my mind to think about the Trinity and eternity.
I can’t think about either for very long.
I love how Jesus lived the gospel, showing us how to love God and love others.
This, in practice, is remarkably simple but paradoxically difficult.
Tiramisu and crème brûlée are my favorite desserts, sharing equal billing.

Oops. I meant mixed in with your tiramasu. Sorry.
It blow my mind to think about eternity as well. It is amazing!
Similar things: Do not like long toe nails (reminds me that I need to cut some little toe nails tomorrow night), I also have scars on my face from chicken pox even though I was SO careful (my pillow got me at night), while in labor with my first I was told that I have scoliosis (good timing – no?), I am too lazy to get a watch and also use my cell phone for time checks when out, and I am not a carnation fan either.
um, i cannot for the life of me read a compass either, hell, i stil can’t figure out n, s, e and w. and i can’t roll my r’s either.
I am NOT a strong swimmer….I’m a wimpy swimmer! I often wonder if I would be able to save myself. I think I would, but I don’t think I want to try to find out. 🙂
I would like to read more books too!
Well, it looks like we have virtually nothing in common… except #70. Hey, the world would be incredibly boring if we were all alike, right?
Dirty fingernails gross me out too, and with two little boys, we have dirty fingernails ALL the time. I love my kids and think they are the cutest things alive, but I have to admit that their toenails disgust me!!!! I utterly hate having to cut them and can’t wait until they are old enough to take care of their own personal hygene….will that ever happen???
Thanks for hosting this great giveaway.
hhhmmm. Number 36; I too am geography impaired. If it’s not near a mall, I’m lost.
Number 43: I DO grind my teeth at night, waking myself frequently.
Creamy dark chocolate
warm doughy sugary doughnut
spoil me oh spoil me
we are the same because i love freshly showered people and i hate dirty fingernails. We are differnt becuase i dont have kids and i dont like ballet!
Okay…I love laughter and the sound of it and I love to do it and I don’t do it enough. I am very competitive when it comes to games but I say I’m not:)
Thanks for the giveaway!

-I just discovered the joy that is creme brulee and now I’m hooked
-Lover gerber daisies, think carnations are the weeds of the flower world
-I LOVE to shop and I collect shoes and handbags
Thank you!
haha, i took ballet for 14 years and can’t spot either…and while i can’t believe you don’t recycle glass and paper/cardboard (do you now, i hope?) i feel the same way when i see people throwing recyclables away…sometimes i take them out of the trash!
I totally agree with 10 & 11. Don’t read enough now that I’m internet addicted. I lasted all of 4 ballet lessons as a youth, so I can’t relate to you there. I’m with you on the coffee, heat, and awesome mugs. I love gerberas!
Hi. Like you, I love to laugh, drink coffee, and wear scented lotion! Unfortunately, we are also alike in losing our mothers to cancer.
Thanks for offering a fabulous prize. Bloggy Carnival has been fun!

Let’s see – numbers 15, 22, 35, 36, 51, 52, 63, 64, 77, 78, 88 sound like I could have written them. But out of 100 things (and I read them all) I would say we would be more different than alike.
I can NOT dance – I’m kinda jealous. 🙂
I agree with you on the laughter. That is one of the things that when I am having a bad day as a SAHM it all gets better when my daughter laughs.
I also agree about History class, I don’t like that fact that I don’t know anything about the wars we have fought in the past.
Strangely enough I have been using my cell to know the time as well. I hate when a watch dies.
Other than the things you said about God and creation(because I totally agree with ALL of those!) these are some of the ones I identified with:
“I think dreadlocks are more appealing on black men than white men; braids are equally attractive for any woman who can pull off the look (I don’t think I pulled it off very well, but it was fun).” – I’ve had my hair that way a few times and LOVE it in a “just for fun” way. Love the crazy, kinky frizz at the end. Lol!
“Tiramisu and crème brûlée are my favorite desserts, sharing equal billing.” – Uh, you NAILED my absolute top favorites! And ice cream ranks right under those two.
“I love caramel macchiatos breves” – yeah, except I’ve never tried the “breve” part…sounds good! Might just try it!
Fun list!
I thought I left a comment here earlier today…
Anyways, I gave you thumbs up for this page (same username), and I am the first to do it! 😀
I read your 100 things post.
– I too love the sound of laughter, it makes me feel happy instantly.
– I love having a loud crazy laugh until I cry.
– I wish I still remember all what I learned in my history classes.
We are all different, yet we are just the same. 🙂
I love to laugh until I cry because something is really, REALLY funny.
I do too. Love funny movies. Thanks for the giveaway. semtaylor(at)yahoo(dot)com
I have sentimental attachment to clothes also. I have shirts from high school that I can’t give away because of memories. And tons of old baby cloths from my kids.
I also loved velveteen rabbit!
And I love my family’s scents, too!
#26 – I wish I could do that – I worry about it all of the time
#1 – 4 I can’t dance!
And I wear the scented lotions & perfumes! (Do I stink???)
“# I’ve found once you begin recycling, you think about environmental stewardship a whole lot more…I get a little twitchy when I see people throwing cans and plastic bottles in trashcans :/.”
You and I are two peas in a pod! I want to cry every time I see people do this! I actually started picking up recyclable items from the side of the road when ever I go on walks.

I totally agree about dreadlocks looking better on black men, and my hair has never braided well.

I am with you on #s 10 (not reading books due to blogging), 54 (making the bed), 69 (not rolling my “Rs”, 77 (the warmth and aroma of coffee), and 92 (kitchen knives needing sharpening). Nice to get to know you a little more!
“I’ve found once you begin recycling, you think about environmental stewardship a whole lot more…I get a little twitchy when I see people throwing cans and plastic bottles in trashcans :/.”
I could not agree more. We go to the football field and I end up picking up cans, bottles, even Capri Sun pouches on the way back to the car!
I cannot roll my R’s either. 🙂
I’m geography impaired and have no sense of direction.
Oh my gosh, this is so me!!!!
I can’t read a compass, either. I can’t even read a dang map!
Thanks for having the giveaway!
“Recurring dream themes of mine used to be running away from someone who was chasing me, the ability to fly (sometimes in relation to the former), not being able to put my contacts in because they were too big for my eyes, and my teeth falling out. ”
—-That last part about the teeth is still a re-curring dream! I swore that I was the only one!
Thanks
Angie
I too so love the sound of laughter, especially children and babies when they first learn how.
oops…i commented ON your 100 things post instead of here.
haiku:
I should win this prize
Cuz I know you get my vibe
It will help me shine!
Wow…36 MILLION women a week participate in blogs (either reading or writing!!)
Thanks for the giveaway!!
oops…forgot my email

#77 and 78 fit me very well and I love Jesus as well. I enjoyed reading your 100 things.
I also cringe every time someone doesn’t recycle.
I can relate to the recurring dreams and dreaming about not being able to put in my contacts because they are too big.
I love to blog,
I’d love to win!
Pick me! Pick me!
See me grin!
How was that?
Dirty fingernails gross me out too. I make my kids wash their hands immediately after getting home from school.
And, I took 11 years of ballet, but still did not dance with the New York City Ballet. I decided to quit and pursue my ambition of being a professional cheerleader. What an idiot.
Anyway, thanks for the chance to win.
How fun to get to know you. We have alot in common…ballet and spotting! Thought i was the only one.
I love to “Car dance” as well. I am good at it too! My kids and husband also roll their eyes at me! Such fun to read. Thanks.
