That’s what color the Tennessee Valley sky offered up this morning. I am so…so sorry I didn’t take a picture so it could last longer, it was a spectacular shade of pink and magenta, with striatic variations adding texture.
I wonder how many meteorological terms I can make up before 7:30 a.m.?
I love it when God has fun coloring :).
Your turn: Give a weather shout-out for your neck of the woods.
Burrrrr in St. Louis, MO, but thanks to a certain tweet I have a great outlook for today!
Muted tones of orange are brushed across the dawning sky on this perfect, brisk November morn in the Great State of Oklahoma! ?
In Charleston, ours was white, blue and pinks. And god awful cold, please wake up Father God and have him order the wind to go to bed.
Cold (30 degrees), snow-showery (LOL!), and blustery. Wind chill @ 23. :o/
Winter wonderland in Michigan. Bare trees now “furry” white. Evergreen limbs powdered snowy with sky sugar–so pretty. Bring sleds cmon over!!
LOL Scarlett, after spending five years in MN I took a different take on today’s chill. 🙂
The air is crisp and cool, my breath plumes as timid dog paws pick their way around frost dusted leaves. The sky is no longer the brilliant blue of summer, but promising rays of sun still keep Old Man Winter at arm’s length.
cold, with frost, sky clear and bright blue. I’m in NJ.
Im in cold St. Louis too! Thanks for the thought of God coloring! Its a great start to my day!
41 Degrees in South Florida 🙂 Us Floridians don’t know what to do with ourselves, wardrobe wise, when it is this cold so we just wear sweaters and flip flops!

In the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains in Virginia – clear, crisp, sunny and a cold 32 degrees.
Yesterday’s snow mostly melted overnight, so it looks pretty much blah, with a touch of brrr.
😉
That’s news from Northern Wisconsin, by the way.
I wasn’t up as early as you to see the Mid-TN pink-genta skies! I loved how the air felt when I let the dog out this morning. It was cold and crisp and made me want to hurry back in for my coffee. And then a little later as I stood at the front door watching my daughter (and sipping coffee!) as she waited for the bus, I could tell it was going to be another bright, clear but cold day. There’s still a smattering of colorful leaves on the trees that make a rather nice contrast against such blue, clear skies!
Brrr… It’s cold here in western PA. With a wee bit of snow. Bah! I don’t like snow. But the kids are happy.
cold, cold, cold in Northern Indiana with lots of snow. 3-6 more inches expected later today. My kids are happy…I’m trying! 🙂
Sunny 38 in Little Rock, AR
brrrrrrrrrrr
31 degrees with snow flurries in Milwaukee this morning – BRRRR!
Chilly in the 40’s here in Austin, TX where the sun rose in a burnt-orange hued sky, because God loves our Longhorns, dontcha know?! heehee
Will reach mid- to upper-70’s this afternoon. Lots of folks get sick ’round here this time of year due to the wide temperature variances…and the influx of JUNIPER/cedar pollen. snif
Started out in the 30s here in Atlanta. But now (10am) it’s 43 degrees. Sunny – and warm here in my bright living room.
Whenever we see a beautiful sky, my kids always exclaim, “Look at how God painted the sky for us today!”
Oh! And on Saturday, we saw a full-arc double rainbow. What a gift!
Way too hot here with terrible fires still burning. Please pray for the hundreds (thousands?) of people in California that lost their homes this weekend.
And pray for rain!
However, the fires make for the most beautiful sunsets. Only God can make something so beautiful out of something so horrible.
A little chilly today here in very sunny Colorado, but it’s supposed to be in the 60’s. Definitely nice today. 😀
The sky was beautiful this morning. I left my husband sitting inside while I went out took some shots, just couldn’t resist. 🙂
Perfect day here. Can’t remember the sunrise, but we’ve got a gorgeous baby blue sky with teeny tiny bright white clouds WAY up where you can barely see them. And a fabulous 70 degrees.
There are beautiful colors in Nature!!!
-sandy toes
What, have you not seen what God can do to the colors on the water tower I can see from my kitchen? It’s good, definitely good.
About half an inch of fluffy snow in Hickory, PA. First good snow fall of the season. Lovely.
Part of me cringes as I write this:
Below-zero cold.
Streamers (intense, focused snowstorms that roll in off the Great Lakes) dumping snow on us.
Off-and-on wind.
A sky the color of matte, sad steel.
A happy dog dancing through the snowdrifts.
A confused dad laying on the layers before he heads out.
how’sabout fuschia?
Funny, Claud…though it coulda been “fusch-genta” ;).
I just gotta say to ALL you amateur meteorologists…I LOVELOVELOVED hearing your weather reports! Why? who knows?? But I loved it all the same!
It’s an absolutely beautiful day here in Texas!!!!! =) I think God is on vacation here!!!!! I love Texas weather this time of year!!!!!!
A cruel wind blows down the docks here in Charleston. The halyards of sailboat clang and clink, shouting to all the harbor that winter has arrived in the normally warm and often humid South Carolina lowcountry.
