I’ll be rather pregnant, but I’d still love to go! Asheville is so beautiful and I’ve heard awesome things about Type-A.
I think blog conferences are awesome for networking and meeting all the lovely women you “know” online! I always come back refreshed and with big, new ideas!

I’ve been to two conferences in my short, 2 year blogging career. To me the best part of the blog conferences is the face to face interactions that make the virtual ones a reality. I love meeting someone that I read or have done a design for and getting to know them personally! Thanks for the chance to win!

I had no clue this was on your list!! I was just talking to @DExtraordiaire about wanting to be there!
I have never been to a Type-A Mom conference, but I have been to Asheville. I take any chance I can to go back because it is so breathtakingly beautiful. (I loved your Asheville series, btw!)
I am looking at the schedule now and aching to go on the photowalk. I can just imagine the pictures now! And the revolutionary blogging? I want that. I crave that. I’m at a point with my blog that I really want to make a difference. I just don’t know how.
I am confident that I would walk away from Type-A Mom with more than just beautiful pictures.
And finally, I was supposed to go to BlogHer this year, but ended up not going because of a wedding. I wanted to go to Blissdom’11, but I’ll probably be having a baby that weekend(poor planning on my part, right?). I know it sounds cheesy, but I really want to see my friends and make new ones. It really is all about community!
To me, as valuable as the learning is (and it really is valuable), blogging conferences are all about relationships. I mean, honestly!! It is how I met you have so many friends going to Type A. I would love to make the blogging world a little smaller.

It’s a toss-up whether the conferences are better for networking or better for the information I learn. Absolutely both. I’d love to go to a Type A Mom conference.

I think blog conferences are one of the best ways to cement your online friendships with other bloggers, and to learn in an environment where other people totally get you. Even though bloggers purposes vary widely, we are all connected by our interest in social media and our creative bent in expressing what is important to us. Blog conferences teach me a plethora of things, but I feel such a strong sense of community, sanctuary, and just so uplifted by spending time with such amazing women.
why I should win:
*deep breath*
I haven’t blogged in months, and will not be getting a sponsor. There is far too much happening in my life right now. Winning this pass is the only way I can go to TypeA. I need to be with my community of blog conference women, for a million reasons not the least of which is rediscovering my confidence and my voice, expressing myself through writing.
Well first, I know I have so much to learn. Next, I’ve never been to a blog conference but want to go badly. I would love to meet the URL friends I’ve met around the blogosphere. And lastly, I’m in WV, so driving to NC is totally do-able, especially since I’m free that weekend. I’m crossing my fingers for this one! =)

I have never been to a blog conference… so I don’t know how much the conference will benefit me. Honestly, I think that’s why I should go. I know it will be fun. I just have no idea what I will learn and how I will benefit.

Oh! YES!! i am putting up the badge right now…
Why should I win? Just like everyone else, I love to blog and love to make my hobby a little more profitable. I have friends online that I’ve known for 4 years but never met that may be at the conference. I’ve only gone to BlogHer once and that was because it was just 45 minutes from my house!

I am the PERFECT person to win this giveaway. Although I have operated my blog for over a year, there is still a lot that I do not know about maximizing my blog’s potential. I have a strong desire to reach as many people as possible with my blog, and I know that a blog conference is exactly what I need!
I also live in NC, and would LOVE the opportunity to meet and network with the ladies at this conference in person!
Last year I sulked for weeks when I realized that I could not afford to go to Type A mom Conference. I was devastated, and I felt like the blog world was passing me by. It was a huge blow to my self esteem because I was not able to gain any of the knowledge the ladies gained from the conference. As I looked around on the web I saw other ladies getting sponsorships to attend these conferences. Unfortunately for me I do not have a huge audience, nor do I have many visitors to my site on a regular basis. It is very unlikely that sponsors will be interested in sending me to a conference. With the attendance of Type A Mom I can combat ALL of those issues. I can gain the knowledge I need to connect with tons of people all over the place, increase traffic to my blog, improve my blog’s functionality, and eventually help others get sponsorships to conferences!
In short…I AM READY!! My bags are already packed, so go ahead and send me to Asheville!
I have placed the Blog Hop link on my page.

Oh, and one more thing-I want to go to this conference so bad that I am willing to give up my anniversary weekend getaway with my husband! Now THAT’S dedication!
I think blog conferences are a great way to connect with other bloggers like yourself and learn about effective ways to blog.

I am expecting my third child so getting away to blogging conferences is getting more and more difficult (both time and finances). However, I believe that going to blogging conferences is one of the most valuable things we can do for ourselves as bloggers! It is an amazing time to get renewed and inspired to keep going. It is the only place I know of where other people “just get” what it is you’re doing or wanting to do. And they are excited for you! The educational value and social value is unmeasurable!!!

Hello!! Well, I’ve never been to a blogging conference before. To be honest, I’ve never been able to afford to go (damn recession and all) but I’ve been following all the BlogHer tweet and reading posts from Blissdom and last years Type A and realize it’s about damn time I get my butt to a conference.
I’m dying to meet all these famous faces, especially Heather Spohr (who is speaking at Type A!). I want to extend my friendship with these women beyond a key strokes. I want to hug them, I want to take their picture… wait, it sounds like I want to be a stalker, huh?
Okay, scratch that.
I want to go because I need a vacation from my family.
There, is that better?
🙂

I love how blog conferences erase the line from blog friends to IRL friends. After just one conference I walked away with some true friendships. I’d love to keep erasing those lines & attend a second one!

My family is a 1 vehicle family. My hubby works M-F so during the week its just me and our 2 boys. The internet is my life line to adult conversation and interaction. My blog has connected me with many people from all over. I hate to say but I have more URL friends than I do IRL. I think conferences are not only great education for newbie bloggers such as myself but they also help grow friendships. I’d love to meet the other bloggers attending Type A Mom. I’m so close to Asheville that I can drive daily, all I need is a golden ticket to “mom time” Type A Mom. Thanks for the chance at meeting friends outside my computer screen and bettering my blog.

Catching up on blog reading and twittering and I see that my girl Bridget (@IveyLeagueMama) has been tweeting about this contest a lot. If I weren’t already going as one of the photographers for the conference I would have loved to try to win this. I am glad that she did tweet about this contest because I met you at Blissdom but for whatever reason :cough:I haven’t gone through all the biz cards before the largest cup of kool aid to ever exist killed them all:cough: so now I am following you on twitter (YAY~)
Looking forward to see who wins & really hoping to see Bridget again!!

The widget is in my sidebar and I’m writing my intro post now. http://www.coloradomoms.com/blog
I think conferences are of great value for networking with other bloggers with similar interests/blogs and learning how to capitalize on your own niche market. I just got back from BlogHer and learned so much! It’s been a few days and I’m still swirling around as if I just left. Not only did I learn more about the type of blog I run currently, but I learned a lot about where and how to take it to the next level. How to not only monetize it (if that’s your thing) but also how to advertise it and get people interested in what I have to say.
If I won a ticket to Type A Mom, I’d be able to further develop my blog, my ideas and my business. Also would get to connect with a whole new group of bloggers to bounce ideas off of.

I follow on twitter! 🙂 Both you and typeAmom 🙂
wow, look at all these entries! it’s a long shot to win, but I’ll try 🙂
why are blog conferences of value? bec. there is only so much networking (not too crazy about that term; I like FRIENDSHIP) that one can do via blogs, twitter, FB and all the social media we moms have at our computers and smartphones.
There is no replacing face to face meet-ups with real people, real moms. A blog conference, like TypeA-mom, taps into that desire and need to connect with like-minded friends, in this case, moms who blog.
