Today is a special day in the life of For All Who Wander, and also in my life as an author: the ! In addition to new friends who want to support the book because of its message — a powerful message of hope for those who’ve struggled in their faith — I’m hopeful to see longtime readers of my blog join our launch team. Though I’ve been blogging a long, long time, and even though I’ve contributed to a dozen books now (two of which are still in production), For All Who Wander is the first book that will have my name on the cover.

Your help and support in promoting the book is invaluable to me as a first-time author with a small platform.

Your friends and family don’t (yet) know me, and it is your influence that will matter in their lives when it comes to buying a book from an unknown-to-them author.  It is a hard and vulnerable thing for me to ask for your help, and yet here I am extending an invitation. All ages and stages of life aren’t just welcome, they’re wanted!

A double-bonus is when people preorder the book on Amazon using my link;
preorders help Amazon to know they need to have a book in stock,
and it means they mark your purchase as a verified purchase,
a distinction that carries a lot of weight on reviews and
gives an author’s book more exposure.

Do you know what emboldens me to ask for your help? Even though this book is a personal memoir about my struggle with belief, I truly believe it has little to do with me, and much more to do with your relationship with God. It’s my story and your story and our story, but mostly it’s God’s story.

Initially I felt a little icky when it came to book promotion. But I’m convinced it was God who orchestrated the opportunity for me to write it in the first place; and in light of that, I see this as a stewardship issue. In other words, in promoting this book, I’m honoring the Lord and the opportunity He extended me to join Him in this Kingdom work. It’s not about me, it’s about Him and His glory.

I get to promote For All Who Wander, and in so doing, point people to God. There is nothing icky about that!

The For All Who Wander is going to be fast and fun!

We’ll start right after Christmas and follow the book’s launch into January. We’ll explain everything you’ll need to do, and when you need to do it. We’ll also have a private Facebook group where we gather, and learn about one another, and celebrate when celebration is due. Together we will accomplish much; “together” is so much better than going it alone, n’est-ce pas

Wondering what in the world is going on in the picture above? I hosted a where I shared about the launch team. In order to have a livestream with better quality, I connected directly to our modem. Since the cable was only so long, I had to rig a station that allowed my laptop to be somewhat eye level. IT WAS PRACTICALLY A JENGA TOWER! Floor –> ottoman –> magazine –> telescopic standing desk –> “C” table –> magazine to level laptop –> laptop. Oy.  DO listen in (or watch) while you’re completing the , and be sure to “like” my Facebook post and/or share it with your friends (it helps others to see the original post thanks to FB’s wonky algorithms…). Also, don’t hesitate to ask questions in comments–I’m sure if YOU have a question, someone else is wondering, too!

about the For All Who Wander book launch team, including what’s in it for YOU!

Thank you in advance for your help. I hope I get to hug you and tell you in person sometime soon!
